PSA: If you were wondering when our beloved Corrie will return here's the skinny..

the omnibus on September 5th will start at 7:30 a.m. in order to include the episode shown on the last Wednesday evening. So there will be 5 episodes shown that morning.
The 8 episode marathon the following Sunday, September 12th will be new episodes to everybody
there will be no regular evening episodes until September 13th. when there will be a double episode starting at 7 p.m.
When Emmerdale comes back on air (and I don't have a date for that), it will be shown at 3 p.m. with Antiques Roadshow at 3:30 p.m.
September 15th the regular schedule will resume with Corrie in it's new permanent time slot of 7:30pm

I'm so pleased that they are movie Corrie to 7.30 permanently, they should have done it years ago.

I have to admit my mum did tell me some of the storyl ines that are coming up and there is some gooooooood stuff on the way.

Even though Gail did call the authorities on Sarah, I do feel sorry for her that she isn't getting to see Bethany, I feel sorry for Bethany too.
I find Sarah extremely immature.

The Martin/Katie thing seems a little ridiculous to me, but then so is Tommy's reaction to it.

What the hell is up with Nick's hair?

I think he's desperately trying to disguise the receding hairline at the temples, but the "gel it and scrunch it" look is not working too well for him.

I'm not liking the Martin/Katy thing myself ... it seems too forced. If she were out of school I'd be more inclined to believe it but as it stands - no way. Tommy is a thick headed git. My way or the highway as my dad used to say. :phhht

Nick's hair is laughable. Nick chasing Maria again is laughable. I feel sorry for Candice - she's going to be crushed!!

It's almost impossible to avoid spoilers fluff.. I know of some stuff coming up to and I'm pretty excited about the drama

Poor Candice, she did give it up to Nick very easily, which I thought was a bit of a shame really.
After the hoohar with her mother's boyfriend making advances toward her, I was hoping they wouldn't write her as someone who would basically jump in bed with a guy before they had even been on a date, she is only about 16 or 17 in the story after all.

I've never really liked Martin.
His fling with that Rebecca was just irritating to me, I wish he'd gone to Dubai with her.

I only started watching during Martin's fling with Sally so I missed the whole Rebecca thing, I've always thought he was the nicest looking bloke on the show.

Candice is starved for approval, it didn't surprise me at all that she hopped into bed with Nick without a second thought.. you remember how she lost her virginity?? Drunken escapades with Jason Grimshaw.. because she just wanted rid of it :rolleyes young girls! lol I love the writing in this show!

I kind of miss Vik - before he got into all the gambling trouble. I really liked Dennis and Duggie too - too bad they were killed off but I guess their storylines just dropped off.

What I'm really looking forward to is something developing between Clair and Ashley - you just know it's going to. And ohhhhhhhh the poop will hit the fan if the good doctor Ramsden comes back to claim his son!

ohhh and I could just throttle Tracy for all the grief she's putting Hayley and Roy threw - what a horrible person she is!

Oh man I started watching this way before Martin was even on the show . When Tracy was a baby and Deirdre was still married to Ray This was before before Ken and she were on their first go round. Gail was married to Brian (Nickys real mom & Dad) Annie Walker ruled the Rovers , and Bet was just a trashy barmaid. Hilda was the cleaner and her lunk of a husband Stan did - not too much.
Mike Baldwin had just taken up residence on the street.

I catch the show now and then , but I hope that being on at 7.30 will make it easier to watch.

I was really angry that they killed Dougie off, he was one of my favourite characters.
I'm sad that Peter left too because I thought he was reasonably good looking.
Dennis was agreat character too.
I wish he'd stayed with Eileen instead of going off with Janice though.

I'm loving Ciaran at the moment.
He has some great lines and the Irish accent is always sexy too.

You're right about Candice, Duxx, she is looking for approval.
Her mother is such a horrible person and never supports her daughter and consequently Candice looks for more obvious routes for approval which is a shame.

I'm like eny, I've been watching the show for donkey's years.

I only started watching accidentally LOL I was nursing my daughter and there was nothing else on tv at 8 am Sunday morning other than Corrie and church shows. It took 2 weeks for me to become completely enthralled with the characters and when I found out that I could watch during the week I was over the moon! I even got my husband totally hooked on it. We don't know anyone else in Sudbury that watches it, our nearest friends that are Corrie addicts live 1.5 hrs away in Northbay .. on the upside my mom is an addict too - Corrie and East Enders.

I was upset when they killed Duggie off - especially the way that he died *Richard was an awesome villian!*
I wish Dennis would have stayed with Eileen too fluff! She is one of my favourite characters, Eileen and Steve (and now Cirian) get the best lines of the entire ensemble!
I can't stand Janice - or any of the Battersbys for that matter. Janice is just the kind of woman that deserves to be told 'shut yer gob!'

I never did see Leeann but Toyah was whiney and self centred and Les is just the most deplorable caricature that I have ever seen.
Have I mentioned that I love this show? LOL

Apparently, Les was such an objectionable character that the actor that played him had to have time off for stress after being regularly harassed in the street.

I'm with you in not being able to stand Janice.
She is really unpleasant and juvenile.
Toyah was just such a misery, her parts in the show were always depressing.

I also agree about Eileen, Steve and Ciaran having the best lines.
Steve and Eileen are hilarious when they get together.
The two actors play off each other very well.
