hmm the Todd/Karl kiss is the longest, most passionate kiss I've seen on Corrie since I started watching it. I think they need to step up the rest of the kissing
Just not between Dev and Maya *shiver* they gross me out.

That scene where Todd and Karl were kissing and Sara and Katie were coming along in the taxi, and still didn't see the kissing, was crazy. How could anyone miss that?
I'm glad to see the Chesney--with a name like that he's bound to be marred for life--character getting close to Les, and not supporting his mother's sneaky ways. How sad when he told her one of her boyfriends kept him in a box all day once, and she just dismissed it. She has threatened him with being put into "care", which must be as bad. I hope Les takes him in if that's possible when Cilla goes, which will happen.
I absolutely hate Maya, and felt sick when she told Des about what she did to Monica the dog--I don't think she was kidding.

I find it rather annoying that Corrie writers seem to forget some of their own storylines at times.

Gail owes her mother a ton of cash, thanks to Richard Hillman and his shady business practices, yet there she was the other night offering to give Sarah some money for an engagement ring of all things, hardly a necessity.
Perhaps I'm just too practical and think there are more important things for the pair of them to worry about than a ring, but Gail offering money then also saying she's going to take the whole family out for her birthday when she owes her mother so much money is ridiculous to me.
It's as though the writers have completely forgotten that they put Gail into dire financial straits.

Maya is completely disgusting.
I hope she didn't do anything to Monica, but the fact that I think she might not be joking shows what she's capable of.
Dev pretty much deserves anything that's coming to him for his failure to see this woman for the nutter she so obviously is.

I also thought the Shelly/Bev reconciliation was ridiculous.
Terrible writing, terrible acting.
They're at each other's throats for weeks then suddenly they just start laughing about it in the back of Les's cab.

I agree that the writers seem to have forgotten that Gail owes her mother a lot of money, and Sara needs money for more than a ring right now. Bev and Shelly were at each other's throats, and then all was forgiven--much too fast. I always felt that after the mess with Peter, she should have left the Street for awhile. Now it looks as if she taking up with another " Peter" in the guise of Charlie.

Awwww.... Chesney is such a sweetheart... It is so touching to see him and Les starting to bond to each other.

Seems that Sara-Louise has a belly that grows astronomically larger with each (partial) episode. I know that black is supposed to be slimming but she hardly looked pregnant at all in the black evening dress (which looked fairly expensive and was surely too expensive for her to afford on cafe wages) but she gained quite a load by bedtime when she appeared in her pink house coat.

I agree that the writers tend to forget a lot of storylines... as if Ashley would be so forgiving toward Gail after what Richard did... of course Gail seems to have quicky recovered from her ordeal with Richard and has forgotten that she was married to a serial killer. You would think that she would need therapy (in addition to the therapy that she should be receiving for being such an overbearing mother ). Hilarious that Jason thought she was interested in him... that guy is a thick as a post.

Just heard the weirdest piece of Corrie casting ever. I'm not a fan but I might make a point of catching this. In Britain the show has a "Book Club" plot ongoing and guess who is going to be in the show for 10 episodes as an author. SIR Ian McKellen!!! GANDALF!!! Apparantly it's alwasys been an ambition of his to be in the soap. He's recently fulfilled another ambition by playing a pantomime dame on stage in London. In fact he enjoyed that so much he may do it again next Christmas!

Good news for Corrie fans! For 10 weeks, beginning Monday, April 4 at 7 p.m., CBC Television will air two episodes per evening (Mondays through Wednesdays and Fridays) of CORONATION STREET.

As a thank you to loyal fans, CORONATION STREET will telecast from 7 to 8 p.m., returning to its usual timeslot of 7:30 p.m. on June 13.

Sundays will also see an increase of Corrie on the small screen. The previous week’s episodes will repeat from 8 a.m. to noon, except for Sunday April 10, when the show will telecast from 6 to 10 a.m.
For 10 weeks!! I can hardly believe it.

Things are really heating up on the Street these days. Todd Gail and Eileen have a scene that will not soon be forgotten!!! I love Fred Elliot's story of looking for a 'mail order bride' too.

Fred's story just made me sad cablejockey, he's such a lonely old man So quick to pop the question too. I feel bad for Ashely and Claire too - always having to break the bad news to poor Fred.

I'm so glad CBC chose now to give us so many shows - with all that is going on I'd hate to have to wait to have the storylines given to me bits at at time.
