I was pleasantly surprised to see Kristen Davis get a nod for Sex and The City, I think it's a first for her. She was good this season.

Glad to see some good reality shows make the cut! Is best commercial a new catagory?

No, the Best Commercial is not a new category, AIW.

I'm thrilled to see some nods for Joan of Arcadia, though I wish there had been more. I haven't watched Arrested Development, but I've heard it's really good and is probably deserving of its nominations.

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series
The Practice • ABC • James Spader as Alan Shore
Without A Trace • CBS • Anthony LaPaglia as Jack Malone

Normally I'd be rooting for Anthony LaPaglia as WAT is my favourite show, but James Spader revitalised The Practice last season so I'd love to see him get it.

The Practice • ABC • William Shatner as Denny Crane
Shater simply has to win guest in a drama.
He was sogood as Denny Crane.

Law & Order: SVU • NBC • Mariska Hargitay as Detective Olivia Benson

SVU is my favourite of the L&O series and I'm pleased Hargitay has at least been nominated. I think she should win too personally.

No best actor nominations for the cast of CSI.

I have to say I was a bit surprised by the CSI omissions, too, Fluff (though I don't watch the show, personally). I also was hoping for more acting nominations for Joan of Arcadia, as well as some writing ones, for sure.

I'd love to see Amber Tamblyn win, but I don't think she has a snowball's chance in hell of doing it. My guess is that it will go to Edie Falco yet again...*yawn*

I agree, Amber was great but I doubt she has a chance. I'm surprised about Joan of Arcadia and CSI too but what surprised me the most is the lack of nominations for Without a Trace.

Hooray for Arrested Development, up for Best Comedy and in the writing category as well. Maybe some more folks will tune in and the show will begin to get the ratings it deserves!

Also pulling for a James Spader win - deliciously, evil-ly sexy that man is
