You have to make room for me and my boys too. They have been watching the shark weeks , and any other gruesome real life nature show Since they were little. I have probably seen the shows already , but will happily watch them again. We even have the Nat Geo tapes .

Ili - I don't like the ones where they go after the sharks , (but I probably wouldn't turn down a shark steak if offered. )

Another fan of Shark Week over here! I can't wait! I adore the ocean (if I don't become a pastry chef, I'll be a marine biologist ) and sharks are so fascinating.

Ahh...I'd definitely watch Shark Week. What a shame I don't have cable.

back atcha JR! That's on my list of things to do as well. I'm thinking the South Africa ones would be the most interesting so then I could hop on a boat that does the "jumping shark" thing as well and see that while I'm at it!

I have absolutely nothing to add except all you freaks are making me think of the Friends episode where Monica thinks Chandler is sexually aroused by watching shark attack videos (because he was watching an X-rated channel and quickly flipped to the Discovery Network so she wouldn't catch him watching porn).

    Oh ok...do tell Ajay

Oh does anyone remember last years footage and special with Nigel Marven in the Bahamas where his fellow shark expert Dr. Erich Ritter was bitten in the leg by a bull shark? Apparently not a whole lot of people in Florida were too upset over that event, since the locals hated him for his controversial methods that were outside the accepted norms of the ichthyologist community and participating in "sharkfeeding" in Floridian waters where there's lots of human activity.

I love love love Shark Week! It gives my hubby heebies jeebies to watch but he does anyway. He's a avid surfer so it kinda freaks him out. He once was waiting for a wave in Santa Cruz, sitting on his board and something brushed by his leg. He told me later that his heart dropped and his whole life flashed before him. He thought this is it..I'm gonna get bit by a shark....It turned out to be a dolphin!! I didnt know they hung around in Santa Cruz...they apparently do.
I went to the Shark Experience at The Mandalay Bay in Vegas.. The Hammerhead shark was great!
