Just finished watching the show and I almost just wanted to quit watching, Lily acting like a bitch, than watching the crappy 'Thinner' storyline, Jordan bopping a Madonna wannabe, (the kaballah reference), the entire episode does absolutely nothing as far as entertaining us or giving a glimpse into a possible great story arc. Last summer's 4400 had such great possibilities and all I see is the writers and producers just wasting it now. I hope this show can be turned around before all the viewers desert.

I'm still enjoying this show despite the "Thinner" rip-off.
But I also think that Lily/Richard/Isabella story is weak, and needs some more work since they are supposed to be three of the main characters. Even the story of Shawn's cousin (can't recall his name) blacking out is a lot more interesting than L/R/I.

Can't agree more. I was soo looking for this season. The show had a great potential. I thought the very idea of the show was great.

But this season...just blah. The writers are loosing the steam.

Too bad.

I am still very much enjoying the season, even the before mentioned Lily/Richard/Isabel storyline, even though I will be glad when Jordan finally catches them to add some drama. It isn't moving as fast as last year but then again last year the writer's thought they were writing a self-contained mini series and not a continuing weekly series so it had to accelarate the story. This week's episode is not one of my favorites but you can't expect great episodes every week in a weekly series.

I really do not consider this a weekly series they are not going to show 20 episodes, we are getting what 6 or 9, (does anyone know for sure). The producers need to treat it as an intense miniseries and need to progress the story and hook the viewers else the viewers will not have the patience or loyalty to wait and be ripped off next summer.

13 episodes, I believe. I'm still loving it aside from my previous grievances.

Thinner had to do with biological warfare - what does that have to do with the 4400? The same stuggle between good and evil is there, but that is in alot of shows.

No, Stephen King's "Thinner" had to do with a man being cursed by a gypsy to become thinner and thinner until he wasted away.

So far, I've found listings for 9 episodes, but I think they got 13 for this season. That seems to be the new standard for cable shows.

I think the writers are doing just fine with the story arcs. To me it seems they are simply using the whole season to touch on the lives of different returnees, both new and old, as well as, telling stories that could be tied together by season's end. I'm loving the mystery of each returnee's ability and the speculation about its purpose in saving humanity. I'm sure the writers are enjoying the freedom afforded by doing 13 episodes as opposed to last year when they felt they had to cram everything into four episodes, since it was only a limited run series then. The writers don't have to hit a home run with every episode. Heck, no series has ever, or will ever, satify such unrealistic expectations.

Looking forward to tonight's episode to see what Shawn is going to do to Collier. From the previews, he might be using his ability to hurt him, like he did last year to that bully in high school. And what is happening with Kyle? Are the beings from the future attempting to inhabit him again for some purpose?

i was pleased that lily, isabel and richard were found and can go back to the 4400 center. i think this might make lily a more likeable character again.
