I watched a little bit of this and I had to laugh when they tried to defend little flaws that people want to fix – that is so not what this show is about – the laundry lists of changes these women wanted done had nothing to do with just a bump on the nose of acne scars. The show should own up to what this is really about – this is The Swan meets Bridezilla.

you're so right! It is the Swan meets Bridezilla.
I wouldn't have a problem with it at all if it was just about women wanting to correct a flaw, like acne scarred skin or a crooked nose. But these woman want to be totally re-done. Why don't they just exercize and lose some weight rather than have lypo on back, tummy, bottom, thighs, and knees? Do they not know that sometimes lypo can leave bumpy uneven skin even if the fat is sucked out??

Watched an episode Tuesday where the wife asked Dr. Phil what was wrong with her. He said that she remembered all wrongs.

I do like Dr. Phil...recommends not put up with stuff.
    You can do it!

I saw one where a woman was grieving for her child and had been for 10 years. She also blamed her husband for the accident, even though it left a son in a wheelchair. Her room was the same, it was very very sad, 10 years and she still hadn't dealt with all that grief. I felt for her, and for the rest of the family

I did not even know there was a Dr. Phil thread.

I am glad, I watch my share of Dr. Phil and its always good to see if anyone else has also watched so we can discuss it.

Thought that episode last week about CATFISH was a real EYE OPENER. Sad for those ladies.

    Re: Dr. Phil

A lot of people criticize Dr Phil for all kinds of reasons --- probably mainly because they don't care for his style or the way he gives advice. But I think he's actually very good. He usually zeros right in on the problem and gives very sound, logical and helpful advice. And one of the things I most appreciate about Phil is that he'll come out and say the hard stuff --- the words that are very hard to hear, but are needed to be said. And ironically, those are usually the very sentiments that most of us are thinking! That's why he's called "Tell It Like It Is, Phil." Good for him.

I used to watch his show religiously - but when he turned it into a talk show and started having Rev TD Jakes (or whatever his name is) it got really bad, I stopped and never went back.

Even afterwards when he would do updates with Catherine and Alexandra and the parents, I found it insufferable. That family will always be a hot mess. Doesn't Catherine now have a child as well? and Alexandra has 4 and is addicted to drugs?

    Re: Dr. Phil

I think he should devote a show to following up on families/people who have been on the show that people have found interesting/courious. We never seem to hear much about how they are doing after their appearances.

I have seen a couple of follow up shows, some have been good, some went back to their old ways
