I watched this show today and felt so "slimed" by it that I took a shower soon afterward but I still feel crappy from it.
On today's show Phil profiled a set of 25-year old twins (named Sarah and Tecoa) who are both addicted to heroin, crack, and some very unhealthy habits, in general.
It was repugnant to watch as one of Dr. Phil's former "cases," a recovering addict named Joani, took a video camera and filmed one of the twins as she lived her awful life. This broad Joani has been sober for a couple of years (after going through Phil's recommended rehab) so now she's doing her part to get other junkies clean and sober by stepping into the gutter to document the story of these two twins. This was the most disturbing television show I've watched in years, and I wish I never saw it.
The part that blew me away: they filmed one of the heroin twins injecting a teenaged friend with heroin for the first time. HOW CAN THAT BE LEGAL??? Didn't Pete Doherty get in legal trouble for injecting heroin into someone?
Does anyone else find it outrageous that the Dr. Phil show stood by and watched this kind of thing unfolding?? If I were the mother of that teenaged kid I'd be hiring a lawyer tonight, and I really think Dr. Phil's crossed the line with this stunt.
