Yeah! What the hell was that all about? Like it wasn't obvious that the mother was flat out lying.

Well it sure would have been nice to have an island away in order to figure out why I can or can not find a date. Sheesh! How about the old fashioned way of falling on your face, picking yourself, dusting yourself off and trying and trying again. . To be fair, I thought it was an ok episode. Good general advice that probably won't hurt anyone. We'll see what tomorrow brings with part 2. Had to gag though, when Dr. Phil brought in his wife to prove that even HE can do well and he's balding too!

And let's not forget to mention his book, his BOOK, HIS BOOK!

Man, Dr. Phil was pre-empted here thanks to the Olympics. It ruins my day when I don't get my daily dose of Dr. Phil ! Good lord I hope this doesn't happen every day.

I read on another board that last night's Dr. Phil was staged and that Paula has got a live-in boyfriend. Has anyone else heard this?

Yeah, I think it was even on "The Insider" last night. Paula has a very hot boyfriend, who she has been with for a while..why she feels the need to lie and make herself appear desperate is beyond me..Paula is a ho from way back, there's no way she'd go a whole minute without a man.

I don't know why.... but what you said was hilarious!

Whew, I had to dig deep to find this thread! Anyone watch Dr. Phil anymore besides me?! ...

So it was the "return of the Dr. Phil Family" today. I can't stand any of 'em, I find them annoying beyond belief, especially the Dad...But what's this about Dr. Phil handing over a brand new truck to Alex??? I feel he keeps rewarding this girl for being a slut, and is perhaps sending a bad message to other teen girls that may be watching...

Yes, I watched, specifically to see what the Dr Phil family had been up to.
Although it was a nice gesture of Phil to get the custom made saddle for Catherine, good ole Phil once again relegates her to also ran daughter by bringing out a fully loaded truck for her sister.
He hauled their dad over the coals for not treating them equally.
I hope Alex has got her act sorted out as much as she seems to have.

Owies, Firestorm...there are a lot of teen moms out there, and they didn't get to be parents by themselves. "Slut" is an awful harsh and unfair term for a young girl...and it kinda lets the child's dad off the hook. I give this young lady AND her family credit for their hard work to remain a family and raise that lovely little boy.

I'm sorry I missed the show today. I was on maternity leave with my youngest daughter, who is just a little older than Alex's son, and was an avid viewer of Dr. Phil when Alex and her family were featured weekly. I was really happy when she decided to keep her baby, and I'm pleased the family has stayed together through so many difficult years. I'm even a wee bit teary-eyed looking at little Nathan's pictures on Dr. Phil's website.

Exactly..Alex once again stole the 'spotlight'..Katherine gets a saddle for her horse--Alex gets a $30,000 Chevy Silverado. WTF? Katherine can drive too, so where's her car, Dr. Phil?

True, only I was specifically speaking of Alex, and she's proved that she has a hard time keeping her legs closed, even AFTER she had a baby (at 15).
