Funny thing, the bullet apparently goes through Bill, and ends up in the wrist of another player. The guy says "I still remember the cards ol' Bill had when he died. Aces and eights, if I recall correctly." For those who know their poker, aces and eights are called the Dead Man's Hand, because that's what Wild Bill was rumored to be holding when he was shot. In actuality, black aces and black 8's, although the kicker 5th card is up for speculation. The 5 of Diamonds was for years on display at the Stardust casino in Vegas touted as the 5th card of Wild Bill's hand. The Q of Clubs is on display at Ripley's BoN museum as the 5th card. The 9 of Diamonds has been reported by first-hand accounts and is most widely believed. And the King of Spades was used in the 1936 movie "The Plainsman" with Gary Cooper playing Wild Bill.

Anyway, just a bit of history for y'all.

I just saw Episodes 3 & 4. 4 was the one where Wild Bill was killed. That sucked!

From what they showed of the next one, it looks like Montana is pretty pissed! I am really hoping for someone to whack Al soon Well, I'll let you know if I see anymore episodes.

Man,every other word is an expletive. I would imagine that guys in the west were probably not the most educated of sorts, but please. Edit the script a litte Even The Sopranos don't resort to littering the script with %$# and $#@ and futher more you no good paluttin $$#@.
When I finished watching a couple of episodes I felt like I needed to wash my own mouth out with soap and I've been known to curse a blue streak with the best of them. They should call this show **#*'ville

I saw the first 3 episodes and couldn't beleive the language. A guy at work recorded it and loaned it to me, said it was a great show and was suppose to be real factual in all departments. Unfortunately the "F" word they love to bandy about so much really didn't come into the american language til WWII when the american soilders started useing it in the battlefield

Joeguy, you're incorrect about the origins of the F word. It became a common English word in the 15th century.

Thanks John, I was just about to make a very ignorant statement about not thinking they had that word back then.... You set me straight! But my boyfriend does laugh and say wow, that was so you when you were younger....yes every other word was the f-word..sad to say.

Now, if they ever do a remake of "Clan of the Cave Bear" and you see a cave man drop a dinosaur egg on his foot and shout out "Mother F#$%@er!" ....or another say "Hey Krog, check out $#&$ on blondie over there - swweeeet!", then you got some issue.

I have only seen one episode of Deadwood cause I don't have digital cable .A friend has been taping the latest season of Sopranos for me and Deadwood comes on right after it so she taped an episode and said you have got to see this.
I loved it...and I have to say that Ian McShane is aging nicely.Does anyone know if it will be released on DVD?

I've only seen a few episodes too and I already am a big fan of the show. Now that it's ending I heard a new show called Entourage is going to be taking it's place. Did anyone else here this? Know anything about the show? I caught the end of a quick spot for the show but am curious to find out more.

Entourage discussion should be in another thread, but by "taking its place", I assume you mean running in the off-season in the same timeslot, right? Because Deadwood is definitely coming back for a second season.
