I was disappointed when I realized the whole show was going to be about Carter and his new life. I kept wondering what everyone back in Chicago was doing.
I dont like the new girlfriend much, especially after that lambasting she gave him over all the money he was spending to save "just" one person. That is what I like about Carter--his idealism. It was hard to watch him as the representive of America and its foreign policy, taking all the flak from co-workers in that dingy little bar. His one comment was to the point--no one is criticizing the foreign aid they receive from the states.
