Oprah - medical mistakes

My God, this show is horrific.

A 21 year old woman had a positive blood pregnancy test, but they could find no baby, so the hospital assumed she had cancer (obviously it's a little more complex than I made out).
They gave her chemo, tested her 44 times with the same type of test, and eventually gave her a hysterectomy.
The doctors still thought she had cancer, took out part of her lung, then found out it was a false positive result, she had never had cancer.
The hospital was incorrectly using the pregnancy test to test for canacer, so the manufacturer is appealing the order to pay theri half of the $16, dollar compensation.

Oh Jeez, now we have a woman who had a double mastectomy because the pathologist mixed up her test results. She never had cancer.

Fluff, I saw the teaser for this show but missed it. How horrible! How could they have been giving her the same test for so long???

I didn't see this yesterday, but was it a rerun of the one where the man had his penis removed because they wrongly thought he had cancer? They went in to do surgery on him, never told him that they may have to remove his penis, then when he woke up it was gone! That's absolutely awful.

Also, Dr. Gupta is hot!

I watched this show. I think was most upset about the woman who gave birth, then 6 weeks later, they pulled a fist-sized wad of gauze out of her. EW.

But I've heard of that happening before. Rags or scalpels being left inside people.

haha i did find out though in med school its all pass/fail so nobody can really have a C. and that passing is really high like 95% i'd be gone in an hour.
