Exactly! That's the problem with the media now. Even reliable sources (or previously reliable, anyway) are citing rags like US or even worse and calling it news. The further away from the original source you get, the more mutated it becomes. What starts out as speculation ends up as fact, with no actual information.

I'd be thrilled if Elizabeth was gone, but I'm not ready to believe it based on the sources being quoted.

I don't know if the show can (or should) survive after this. With Joy gone and possible Elizabeth and with Barbara probably retiring in the not too distant future, who's left? Whoopi, who, from the interviews I've seen, isn't terribly thrilled with the job, and Sherrie, who's not anyone's idea of a master at ANYTHING on that show. If they can quickly get some new people in then it might work.

I'd love to see someone like Meghan McCain taking Elizabeth's place on the panel. She's conservative, but she's so much more intelligent and well-spoken than EH. She's also not a pushover, but she's not so whiny and shrill.

Meghan McCain , I agree, she would be a total asset to this show. I love her. She isn't as shrill as EH.

Meghan McCain would make a great co-host. Rachel Campos .

I always liked Rachel, but since she and Sean have about 10 kids, I think she might be too busy for a TV gig.

Not to mention that he's in congress now. Maintaining a life in Wisconsin, DC, and NYC with all those kids would be next to impossible.

If indeed it is true that Elizabeth is leaving, I wonder if Joy wasn't ousted too. Remember, when they were giving Star the option of bowing out gracefully but she announced before they wanted to and made Barbara mad. If they are replacing Elizabeth I can see them bringing in the woman who had the preventative mastectomy (her name escapes me) who has guest hosted a couple of times. She did a good job and was able to make good points without being shrill.

Ousting TWO women, at the same time, from the panel is extreme, isn't it? I don't know anything about producing a daytime talk show but firing and replacing 1/3 of the "cast" seems risky. However, IF they both didn't test well with viewers maybe it was something that HAD to be done. Hmmm...

Are the ratings for The View all that bad??? Are that many fans watching The Talk, instead?

I've only seen tiny bits and pieces of The Talk.

I enjoy the political dialogs of the shows, since they are similar to what my groups of buddies will be talking about.

I heard one of the new co hosts would be Kim Kardashian, they wanted to raise the level of intellect on this show
