And the worse part of all is that she interrupts not only her co-hosts, but the guests as well. I forget the the guy who was on yesterday, but every time she asked him a question and he started answering, BW stuck her hand across the sofa and into his face to interrrupt him with an irrelevent comment / statement just as he was getting the "meat and bones" of his answer. This burns the absolute HELL out of me. I find her to be beyond intolerable.

BW may be a respected journalist, but she's one way past her prime, and one who wore out her welcome at least 10 years ago.

She is by far, the most annoying person on television. Bar none.

The problem with Barbara is, she's got enough power and respect that no one wants to dare to be the person who tells her to step away. I would imagine that executives at ABC had a hand in getting her to step away from 20/20 and some of her primetime specials. But since she created The View, it's tougher for them to make the move there. I think they're so fearful of retribution that they continue to play along. The ratings are still strong, so there's no business argument they can give her as to why the show would be better without her.

Don't they have people who read their message boards or listen to what viewers are saying? This opinion can't be a well kept secret. Others have to know. Could Barbara be in a vacuum and not realize that people don't like her interrupting all the time.

And it's not just that. She makes comments that are not on point. Some things she says are outdated or incorrect. Like, she keeps asking questions about how AI or DWTS work. She can't figure out how people are voted off, saved, continue on, etc. In all these years, she should have been able to sit down and watch and educate herself on how it works. Whoopi too. She continues to be ignorant about it and it waste time and makes her look so out of the loop. She doesn't have to watch every episode, but at least know what it means when a contestant was eliminated or reaches the finals.

The difference between Whoopi and Barbara in this regard is that Whoopi deliberately tries to be out of the loop. She exudes this whole air of, "I don't have time for such silly things like AI and DWTS because I'm to busy spending my time on more intelligent things" attitude. This is especially true when guests from reality shows appear on the View. Whoopi is the only co-host with a look of feigned ignorance on her face, acting as though she just landed on planet earth from the moon and has never heard tell of them before.

Don't get me wrong, I really I like Whoopi, but dislike that she dismissively brushes guests off when she deems to be too superficial or below her intelligence level. Not cool at all, imo.

I rarely get to see the view, but I have seen Whoopi show her distaste for Reality Stars - I get what she's saying. Stars of yesteryear paid their dues 1000 times over compared to what the media deems a 'star' of this era. I get what she's saying, if not for the landscape of television today we wouldn't have a Snookie, or a Situation or a HouseWife of Whereever being called 'stars'.

As for BW - she's just a twit - she's intelligent enough to figure it out, she just has the holier than thou atttitude that it's beneath her to even try.

I agree that the way that Whoopi can dismiss some topics comes across as pretty rude. I can understand why she feels like she does about some of the topics. But instead of just saying she doesn't care, or just not commenting, she has a way of mocking not just the topic, but also the people who care about it. There have been a few times when Sherri and Elisabeth will get all excited talking about something like a reality show, and she shuts it all down because she doesn't care about it, so it shouldn't be discussed. The way she mocks it, I feel sorry for Sherri and Elisabeth. Then when I realize that she's mocking me too, because I'm interested, I get kind of mad.

I'm on the fence with reality stars. I'm okay with some of them, but have diffculty getting all excited like Elisabeth does, with people who are not so bright, but are famous for being falling down drunk, promiscutious, violent and uneducated. I felt that way even as a kid and teen. If the person has learned something from their experience, it's one thing, but to be famous for really nothing but being a train wreck is boring to me, so I have no interest in seeing them being interviewed, however, a talk show has to be open to host all kinds of people. If I was being paid, I would at least make an effort to look awake during the interview. LOL

Well since Lizzy is there because of Survivor I could definitely see her distaste with Whoopi's opinion of Reality Stars. If anyone has the right to say anything it would be Liz, she had no trouble tearing into Rosie -why not Whoops?

Well, it seems to be my "bash Sherri" time! It's brief, so bear with me!

    1. What is with her green fingernails?? That is a most unflattering color on her hands, and it's been on there for a few days now. Is she trying to match the nails with the mug, or what? Tasteless.

    2. I KNOW I heard her say "de-vault" today, when she was supposed to be saying "deFault"!! It was during James Woods segment. Does she really not know the word 'default'? I don't want that to be the case. I swear I think people do these things just to eat my heart out!!! Sometimes, I just want to "shake her gizzard out!" (as my grandfather used to say!)

Go ahead and vent. Sherry can push my buttons too. I can't stand it when she takes so long to get her story out. Just say it already. She spends 60 seconds of her time, asking to be heard by repeatedly saying, "Just let me say this." Just say it without the announcement. She should know that the hosts on that panel don't have the patience to wait for your to announce and then make your point.

REF. Green nail polish. I honestly haven't noticed. LOL I think I may be too old fashioned on this issue, as I think that after age 40, you should avoid off colors like blue, green, yellow, etc. nail color on your fingers. It's fine for younger girls, but over 40 and it makes you look like you are trying too hard to stay current. I don't like black nail polish either, so that tells you how old I am. It reminds me of someone who got their nail caught in the car door and it's been bruised and is going to fall off. Yewwww.

As far as her saying Devault. I would believe that. I don't think Sherry has much formal education and she has admitted she's not much of a scholar. So, I believe it. She just didn't realize it. Hopefully, someone will kindly tell her. Those things are touchy. You don't want to hurt their feelings, but you can't just let it go.
