Re the competition, I know Oprah took her name off the possibles list years ago as she won year after year.

I think they have been showing up in the past (for several at least), hopeful and losing; they probably thought it would be like usual and they would not win. They could have sent one person though......

New season starts today! The set looks great and so do the ladies! Anyone else excited about all the special guests coming on this week? Also really glad about the ladies finally winning that Emmy and thought it was cute that they brought them out and did their acceptance speech! So far so good, I can't believe how much I missed the new stuff! Glad its back!!!

I thought the screen looked fuzzier than usual. too much vaseline on the lens. Babs acceptance speech put me to sleep.

Who co-hosted? I keep deceiving myself by having hope that there is some reason to watch/record-to-watch, other than an occasional guest that interests me.

I think they should completely replace the hosts, yes, all 5 of them

Bab's right eye is now almost half and inch higher than the left one. Very off-putting.
Her acceptance speech was pointless and her constant interuptions ruined the flow of what is always a very shaky show anyway.
Whoopi looked like she wanted to smack her when she kept butting in.

I agree that all five co-hosts need to go.
Replace them all with professionals.

Aside from the obnoxiousness of all 5, one of the reasons that the show is so un-watchable is that they constantly interrupt and talk over each other, and shrill, shriek and shout. Oopps,that is 5 reasons, LOL.

Plus, #6 and 7, they are uninformed and close-minded.

Fortunately, I only check in on this thread occasionally, when I have some energy. I can't find enough energy to watch the show.

It was a great concept, this show, but it flunked, due to who they contracted.

I thought the new set/background looked great! I also liked the summer Viewtube montage, it was nice. I thought the acceptance speech was nice she had special fun notes to each of the ladies. I am excited about the guest hosts they have lined up this week though, they got some good names.

. Loved it today, when Whoopi started talking about one of the "names in the news" that I wasn't immediately familiar with, Joy butted in and said, "Tell them who she is," and Whoop said, "OK, Barbara."

The audience loved it!!

Beautiful moment!
