Thanks!What's funny is that my 20 year old daughter is a huge fan of Elizabeths. She doesn't get why I don't like her and I don't get why she does!
Even today there was some dysfunction on the View. They were talking about the Britney Spears photo with her child grabbing a box of ciggys. BW was talking and Elizabeth started to interupt and talk over her. BW raised her figure and Elizabeth shut up. It was really obvious. and Elizabeth looked like she put a zipper on her mouth. That little exchange reminds me that Elizabeth is very judgmental, rude and young. There is an ebb in flow to conversations and discussions but there is also social ettiquete that you allow a person to make a point before responding. Today Elizabeth chimed in before BW finished her first sentence. WTF.
Also, yes, it is wrong to smoke infront of your children for the fear of second hand smoke. But as Whoopi pointed out, the picture was a snapped shot, it doesn't tell the whole story. Maybe Britney was out on the patio having a quick smoke and her child came out to see what mommy was doing. Maybe Britney asked her son to pass her the pack of ciggys. I just find that Elizabeth is too quick to judge. I couldn't even watch the whole show and I love the Shirley McClaine- she is wacky but also a wonderful actress and has great stories about old Hollywood.
And just a side point, what in the heck were the papparazzi shooting at her home. You don't have privacy on your own land anymore? You have to stay inside the house with heavy curtains drawn.

When they've gotten really in to it at times, they'll even joke about how "Barbara will be calling during the break".
I don't think that they're talking over each other indicates anything disfunctional about group. Take a group of five women who are friends, put them around a table at a local restaurant, and try to keep them from talking over each other. It's what women do. Many of us claim that we don't do it, and that we never interrupt other people. However, those around that many of us will offer up examples of times when we've all been guilty of it. I know I'm guilty of it from time to time, and usually when I am, I odn't realize it unless someone points it out to me. I think that the group made a really good point about that yesterday. It's rather dissapointing when women behaving like women do is suddenly painted as a cat fight or disfunctional.
I wish she would just get fired. I really dislike the twit. It is not even because she is a conservative, it is because she thinks she is the only one who is ever right and perfect.Originally Posted by angelic_one2002;3140681;
Yes, that's true that a bunch of women will talk over each other but for a lot of us, our point is that Elizabeth takes it to the extreme. Just today, during the viagra part, BW pointedly said something like, "Did you hear what I just said" to Elizabeth probably because she doesn't fully listen to others before she tries to inject her view point.
exactly. The twit just thinks she is the only one who is right and her views are the only ones that should be listened to. She thinks she is so educated, but if she didn't have BG or hannity telling her what points to bring up she could not argue her way out of a wet paper bag.Originally Posted by CAdreamin;3140750;

And as I've said before, when I see Elisabeth as the only one guilty of doing that on the show, I'll agree that she should be singled out for the behavior. I am confident that Joy could not put together an accurate summary of a conservative point of view (not agreeing with it mind you, just being able to demonstrate comprehension of it) to save her life.Originally Posted by CAdreamin;3140750;
I taped the show twice last week because I was interested in their guests. Because of both Elizabeth and the eternally-annoying Bawa Walters, I ended up fast-forwarding through the first part of the shows and just watched the guests.
Joy has the ability to listen and actually take more than one side to an issue. She does not close herself off just because a topic isn't her point of view. She will be hosting Larry King Live tonight. Watch it and see her in action.Originally Posted by Veruka;3140756;
