I hate this show. They get on my nerves so badly, treat the guests like sh*t, and they're always trying to outdo each other. I really felt bad for Debbi Mattinopolis, they humiliated her on a daily basis.

I liked Debbie a lot. Never could warm up to Lisa. I also like Elisabeth but don't expect her to be there for long. Why would she? I assume her husband makes a good living so why subject herself to that stupidity? Star's wedding plan discussions make me sick. How old is that woman anyway? Isn't a big wedding a little ridiculous?

Star is like 41 or 42 yrs. old

it must have been a long time since she's had a man gay or straight, she is as giddy as a 15 yr. old girl who gets her 1st boyfriend

if i was her i wouldn't hype herself or her wedding up so much just in case he dumps her and goes back to his boyfriend

It will be interesting to see what she wears for the nuptials. I'm thinking a white wedding gown would be terribly inappropriate. I have a daughter a couple of years older than she is, and SHE has a daughter graduating from college and getting married this fall. Now that's reason for a big wedding!!!

It just seems the more you go on and on about the wedding hoopla the bigger fool you are going to look two years down the road when you're splitting. You're collecting all kinds of bad karma for yourself. Watch out for the backlash, Star!

Congrats on your granddaughter, Muduh!

I just had to dig this thread out of moth balls so that we could tear Star apart a little more. How many of us were ready to tear our hair out by the time she actually blundered down the aisle? And another thing. We all now know for sure that money and good taste don't have to go together. A woman who is old enough to be a grandmother should really think long and hard before stuffing herself into a white wedding dress. And what's the deal on the 27' train?
I read somewhere that she was just unbearble about the whole deal too. She sort of let it out on the show the other day when she started dressing people down for changing the place cards. I also read that she refused to let Meredith have her son escort her. I would have been too busy to show up after that.
Now someone else comment and let me know that I'm not the only one who is disgusted with the drama she made of it all.

I do have to congratulate her on the amount of weight she's lost first though.
I saw the show the other day and she had really dropped some poundage.
I guess her claims that she wasn't concerned about her size all those years were untrue.

I do think it was rude of Elisabeth to change the placecards around.
She must have known how minutely this wedding had been planned and I don't think she should have messed with anything.
Again, I do think Joy was wrong for bringing a camera after being asked/told not to.

They know what she's like so in accepting her invitation I think they should have followed her rules, or like you say, been too busy to attend.
I know that had I been invited to a similarly neurotic person's wedding I would not have gone.

The wedding itself seemed ridiculously lavish.
Fifteen bridesmaids is overkill by any standards, Kim Cattrall and Lorraine Bracco in the role of "hostesses" seemed particularly surplus to requirements.

I heard it was ther veil that was extra long.
Good job she's got a defensive tackle's neck or she'd never have held her head up.

I give it a year, tops.

Was that today? I'm kind of sorry I missed it. Fifteen bridesmaids - why, how splendiferous. She must be the most important bride ever. :rolleyes

On her weight loss, didn't she deny having the stomach bypass surgery? She seemed to drop it pretty fast the way people do after having that surgery. I doubt she could manage that all on her own, especially after years of "I like my size."

She had the bridesmaid on last Friday I think.
I can recall her sister, Natalie Cole and Holly Robinson-Peete being among them.
They then interviewed the hostesses, who seemed as confused about their role in the proceedings as the audience was.

I haven't heard her deny the gastric bypass surgery and I'm not sure if she had it or not.
I didn't think she did, but could be wrong.
She's been working out a lot apparently and clearly taking it more seriously than she did when they did the "Star gets physical" bits a while back.
Her goal was to weigh less than Al on her wedding day.
I don't think she made it, but she has done well and can at least get through a whole sentence without wheezing and pausing for breathg.

Well she deserves the white gown far more than say Jennifer Lopez who insists on one each and every time. It is I believe her first marriage, so I guess everyone has the right to the big do at least once.
I think her wedding wasn't as overblown as the Trista Ryan wedding, and they were Joe Nobodies. That said, both of those weddings are way too much. I'm sure Star got as many "comps" out of the deal for publicity as they did. I haven't heard anything about GB , and doubt she had it, as that itself would have been made a big deal of on the show.
