This show could disappear tomorrow, and I would not be sorry nor miss it. The best part of today's show was Boyz II Men.

Aw, I'd miss it! It might sound crazy, but watching The View gets me through my mornings, and without the fun mish mosh of guests and occasional drama, I'd be in for a boring 11-12 o'clock hour. However, I agree that Boyz II Men were phenomenal today (I'm so happy they decided to throw one of their old school songs in there). But I also thought Dana Delaney did quite well as the co-host today, I liked her.

That would be an incorrect assumption. There are many people that post under different shows (even on this message board) that have no interest in those shows.. but enjoy the discussion for one reason or another.


Toby... I agree; I actually enjoyed today's show, surprisingly enough. I find Lorraine Bracco to be a slightly insane hoot, Dana Delany held her own well, the ladies did a fairly good job at not fighting each other for airtime, and Boys II Men were fabulous. Pretty solid show.

Ummmm...not necessarily. I know when Rosie was on I would watch just so I could see if Rosie would snap and go off on that hag Elizabeth! Oh and when Star was on I tuned in just to see if the rumors about her being fired were true. I wanted to watch the body language and such. Turns out the rumors were true and Star went out with a bang. So basically I watch THE VIEW for the drama. LOL

All of that is interest in the show, isn't it? Being interested in a show and enjoying a show are two different things. There are also shows that I tune in to just to see what a disaster they can be. I may not like them per se, but I'm certainly interested!

You better be careful, that's how it started with me! I read this thread, which left me curious as to what was happening on the show. So I set my DVR to record it each day ... so that if there was nothing else on at night, I could watch it. Yeah, that was it. Next thing I knew, it'd become part of my evening routine to get home, get dinner together, and then plop in front of the TV to watch The View. Just when you think you've got it under control as a "thread only" kind of interest, it sucks you in further.

That's how I got hooked as well, Veruka. I started working from home and though I would check it out after all I had read in here. Now I'm hooked.

I can't honestly say I enjoy this show, (although it has certainly been more enjoyable to me since Elisabeth's been away) yet I watch it every day.
There's a certain pleasure to be had at shaking your head at the things that come out of their mouths.
I don't drink alcohol, but if you did the show is a great basis for a drinking game too.
One drink when; Sherri mentions her boobs or bugs her eyes.
Whoopi says "let me finish", Babs asks a guest to perform a talent other than what they're primarily known for. She asked Randy Jackson to dance last week and asked Lauren Ambrose to sing today, or Joy makes a joke with a subject matter more than ten years old.

That's funny because just last night I was telling myself "NO TV" for today, that I had to get busy and clean for the holidays. Then I thought that I could justify The View if I did x amount of crunches during their hot topics!

(i don't drink so a drink game did not come to mind )
