Barbara clearly wants the first post prison Pris interview.
She was trying to shut them down let and right when they were speaking about it.
They can't speak freely about people Barbara considers friends or acquaintences without her rushing to say how wonderful those people are.
    It's really tiresome.

I've read reports that Barbara has already secured the first post-jail interview with Paris. That would certainly explain the way she's protected her in their discussions.

I did hear that rumour too and if it is true Barbara needs to step out of the discussion entirely imo (or better yet off the show) as she has a conflict.
It's one thing to not state her opinion, but another to try and shut down or dilute everyone elses because you're trying to protect your interests outside the show.
I would like her to admit to the interview and say she doesn't want to comment because of it, rather than try to smooth everything over in case the Hilton's decide to go elsewhere to feed their need for constant publicity.

    Re: The View

She's been pretty blatant about her friendship with Kathy Hilton to the extent that she read that drivel of an excuse that Kathy wrote after Paris' sentence was handed down a month ago.

This is clearly a case of a conflict of interest, both in the fact that Barbara won't allow legitimate discussion of a newsworthy topic and that she has the first interview set up with Paris.

Shame on Barbara, not that she has retained any semblance of integrity and credibility.

If it were a news program, I think I'd agree that it's a conflict of interest and cry foul. But since it's not a news program, and it IS a BW creation, I don't think its that big of a deal. If they don't discuss interesting topics, people won't tune in. However, with the format of the show, I don't think there's an obligation to viewers to discuss all topics that are newsworthy each day. After all, they've not said a word about the news that has come out the past few days about Rosie's book, nor her claim (?) that the fight with Elisabeth was a publicity stunt.

I thought Barbara was going to die when Joy suggested maybe Paris's herpes flared up because of not having her Valtrex perscription or something along those lines. That was too funny!

She did everything but kiss her feet. At least not literally...
It's another reason why i don't like babwa. She wants to say she has no opinion but as usual she'll pretty much exonerate any of her pals in the limelight.

Sure would have been a great day for Rosie to be in one of the chairs! BW got cut some serious slack today.

hahaha, isn't that funny? i said the same thing to my daughter this morning.

she (my daughter) thinks it's hilarious that i tune into the view to find out their take on what's going on in the world.

When and where did Rosie say this? I know that other people are saying it about her, but when people have asked her about it on her blog, she says absolutely not and tells people to go look at it on YouTube (with the implication that something that raw was definitely not staged).

I haven't spent a ton of time following the story, so I'm sure that there's plenty that I've missed. The only thing I've heard Rosie say, that could possibly be misinterpreted to mean that things were staged, was when someone asked her if she had been set up [to get into the argument], and she implied that she thought she had.

But if that's not possible, gimme a Margarita...shaken, not stirred...and hold the salt, please.
