hmmmm the guy on my local radio station said Rosie was getting her own show, but I can't seem to find mention of it anywhere. I don't know if it was conjecture on the host's part or if he heard a rumour.


BTW what did she say to Donny Osmond today? "you're my last ???" I didn't hear the rest.

I know. This might mean an onslaught of fill-ins that's too annoying to even think about right now. The ratings are going to go to heck. But probably not further then Dump Truck's ratings. Well, i'll still have joy.

i don't believe the contract issue is about money ... she was offered an ungodly amount to stay with her previous show and she turned it down because of her family.



here's what i suspect. focus on the family started putting pressure on abc ... abc told rosie to tone it down ... she refused.

i don't see rosie shutting up for ANYONE, much less focus on the family.

I bet you are right and part of her "negotiations" had language that went something to the effect that she had to watch it and she said NO. However, they did the announcement today letting all the parties "look good". Either way I am glad to see her go. I bet she will be a crazy loose cannon until June for sure.

She said today that Alec Baldwin "a very good friend" called her to be on the show and he will be there Friday focusing on parental alienation! Don't care what the debacle is between him and Kim Basinger or how lousy it was that the tape was leaked there is simply no defense for his behavior to his child and Rosie is defending him.

I don't think a major network will give her a daytime talk show so that she and her friends can go on tv daily and spread her bitterness for 44 minutes.

with no one with an opposing view to argue with her it would be very boring. at this point in time a Rosie O' Donnel show wont be like the show she had.

maybe she can do a show on HBO next to her homie Bill Maher.

the first thing Alec Balwin should do is apologise for his behavior on the air, and then let the "soft" interview and spinning proceed.

Rosie is talented. She's a funny comedian. I have followed her career since she was on the stand-up circuit. It was no surprise at all when she hit the big time. I cried right along with her when she won her first Emmy. She ought to give the stand-up a try again. It's very lucrative, and she has tons of fans. Mostly, stand-up is so open. She could include politics,
parenting...or whatever she chooses, into a stand up act.
At the same time, I'm so glad she's leaving. Rosie does not know how do to "hot-topics", and I imagine they realized her stubborness would forever keep her from learning a thing or two about what it means to be a moderator, so they gave up. It's a nice tidy solution, that satisfies both the "I like her" and the "I don't" audience. I do wish her well....sort of.

Now, if they hire Sherri Shepherd & Elizabeth Vargas, that would be the icing on the cake.

Who here really believes that BW was NOT involved in the TERMINATION of Rosie?
After all she, BW, owns "the View". It is HER baby.

Rosie tried to say that they could not agree on the length of a contract. ABC wanted her for three years, Rosie wanted only one year. Yeah right.
OK. IF ABC really wanted her THAT BADLY, they'd sign her for one year in hopes of getting her "one more year" then "one more year" etc etc.
