I caught Elisabeth on FOXNEWS Hannerty's show a couple of days ago, doing a one-on-one and she looked so relaxed, so happy, and so comfortable chatting and telling her views in that setting. It actually shocked me a bit to see her demeanor being so different.

Disclaimer: I'm not a fan of this network, but flipping through the stations she caught my eye.

i managed to catch the end of that interview last night as i was flipping through the channels (while trying to fall asleep). yes, it was nice to see her so relaxed ... and amusing that he kept trying to get her to say something bad about the whole "feud" but all she said was she hopes it goes away. she handled it well.

i understand she was on 'survivor'? which one (and is it on dvd)? i haven't watched all of them so she was obviously on one i hadn't seen.

It was really early in the series...I'm guessing season 2, maybe Australia? It's easy to forget! There have been so many.

You know, about DT and BW...I'm not sure whom to believe is lying. I don't trust either one as far as I can throw them. Neither seems very upstanding.

based on the comments out of HIS mouth vs the comments out of HERS, i tend to side with barbara ... at least she takes the higher road ... until backed into a corner.

I appreciate the tendency to side with Barbara. In many ways, I think you're probably right. But there's just something about her that doesn't convince me completely. I could see her saying and doing one thing in private, and doing another entirely in public. If you look at the way the whole Star Jones thing went down, there's just something to the idea that Barbara is very aware of her public persona, and will do a lot to put on a calculated appearance publicly - even if it means lying about or hiding what happens behind the scenes.

I completely agree with you...There was something about the Star Jones thing that didn't sit well with me, I remember Barbra said that Star talking about her wedding was a turn off for a lot of people, then why didn't Star's bosses..( BW and ABC tell her to stop talking about it). I think once Barbra realized that she could get Rosie and that might greatly increase ratings she didn't care about anything else. I don't believe a lot of what BW says. I'm sure she says one thing publicly and another privately. Did they ever address the "squabble" BW and Rosie had in the makeup room the other day?

Rosie reminds me of Jim Carey both talented and very strong performers. You can get really strong performances from them but you really have to rein them in hard to do so else with their creative juices they just go off. At least Elizabeth got a chance to speak today for more than 10 seconds.

Exactly! BW definitely lost my trust with the way she handled the Star Jones incident. I don't put much into what she says anymore.

She lost my trust too. Barbara knows she's a legend amongst journalists, therefore whatever she says will be taken as the solid truth due to the amount of respect other have for her. But I agree, she turned me off completely (never liked her to begin with anyway) with the way she handled the Star JOnes affair.
