In any event, I dunno about the rest'f you, but sending Davis flowers and an LSAT preparation guide wasn't what I'd consider a friendly gesture . . . But maybe that's just me. If I felt it was a friendly gesture, I'd've delivered it myself with an explanation for why I was giving it to him.
To me it was a pressure gesture... and her comment about just getting back into her good graces said to me that she found his bedding her to be more of a serious committment than Davis did.. but then again, Davis is not exactly one who's very good in long term relationships.

That being said, I think in the long run Davis is going to end up not going anywhere...

Remember how he hated it when he was 'promoted' and became the personal chauffeur of the chief? He just wants to be a beat cop and enjoys interacting with the public!

I think that he likes to think about it -- remember when Sully was really bad off how he was thinking of becoming a detective like his other police academy friend?

I think he sees his friends going to other avenues, and it's making him think.. but in the end, being a cop is really in his heart and soul...

The reason why Davis was pissed at getting "promoted" was because he was just playing lapdog to a police chief who had been cheating on his wife at the time of the riots. The chief wanted to keep Davis under his watchful eye so he could keep his job. Davis was aware of that, and it pissed him off royally.

    That's my take on it, anyway . . .

    "Bosco . . . I think I love you!" -- Munroe, 'The Spirit'
