NOT happy with the ending! Ducky is an integral part of the show for me.

Me, too. I screamed at the TV when he collapsed on the beach without a soul in sight. Who will be the philosopher who keeps Gibbs in line?

The scene in the car at the end when the guy is working on the bomb, the phone rings and I believe says only "Ryan". Forgive my technical ignorance, my cell phone is very basic. Does that mean the call came from Ryan (Jamie Lee Curtis)?

Was her office in the same building?

I figured Ducky's days were numbered. Why else have him give details about his will. Is Jimmy experienced enough to take over for him?

Actually, the phone said "FOR EVAN", which was Dearing's son's name. (My phone shows me the name of the person calling if I have them listed in my contacts, and it shows their phone number. I'm not sure how they got around the phone number part, but the name of the contact in the phone could have been changed to "FOR EVAN" so that it showed up.)

    That's for clarifying that.

I think they left the ending open as to who lives or dies because contract negotiation for seasons 10-11 just wrapped up last week. FWIW
everyone, including David McCallum, re-upped for another 2 seasons, so unless Duckie is a ghost, he'll survive.

Thanks for that spoiler PhoneGrrrl. Hadn't read that yet.

My take on it is that if they are intent on having Ducky die, don't let him go out like that. Not alone, on a cold dreary beach, being washed over by the waves. That just ain't right!

Yeah, but look at the impact it's had just in these last few posts. (Not to say that I want him to go that way, but it definitely creates strong feelings.)

I've never been so happy to read a spoiler. Great news all around.
