    I never thought I'd hear Tone-Loc's "Wild Thing" on ER. The previews for next months episodes look interesting. So many characters, I'm sure a few will go.

    If they don't stop pushing Luka and Annoying Abbie back together, I'm going to scream. Run Luka! Run away! Leave crazy girl to her crazy family.

    Luka, did you hear the Jedi Master telling you to stay away from the dark side? They might try to make the show more "interesting" by having Luka and Abby interested in each other again while Luka has that girl there and Abby's Carter is in a dangerous country.

    I thought last night's episode was good. As soon as Pratt was going to try and take the quarter out I thought, NO! Oh, well.

    The good surgeon will probably provide some comedy relief and drama with his new hand. You just know it will become another cast member.

    I was SOOOO optimistic that the new episode that they ran last week (10/23) started out as a "non-Abbyshow episode". They actually had her leaving the building early on Woo-Woo! But this was only a tease that she would not be the center of attention of yet another episode.

    But of course, they then sunk back into Abbyshow mode and, even though there was more than plenty happening back in the extremely busy ER, they followed what happened to Abby after she left the ER at the end of her shift.

    We got to see Abby go to Luka's apartment, we got to see Abby interect with Luka and his girlfriend, we got to see Abby as she and Luka took a walk and then - as if even the ER charecters think she is the most important staff member at County General - we get to see Abby paged to "urgently" come back to the hospital and work another shift. As if she was some sort of specialist surgeon or something and the ER simply couldnt function without her.

    So then - we get to see her back in the ER, discussing her finances with various people and if that STILL werent enough Abby, we get to see her developements after she finishes her SECOND SHIFT as she goes to visit her ex-husband.

    We even get treated to a vomit enducing scene where the normally stoic and cold-hearted Kerry Weaver warmly tells Abby how much she respects and appreciates her work and how happy she was that Abby didnt join the other nurses in the walkout as they really need her around the ER. PUKE.

    So of the 60 minutes, I would say Abby was in about 50 of them in some way-shape or form.

    And the show started out so Abby-lite. :-(

    As I noted in my general post above but specific to Cali's question;

    Weaver's mistake - and it was a HUGE one - was to confide in Abby how much Weaver respects her (Abby) and appreciates her work and presence in the ER (even Abby seemed stunned by this revelation).

    Weaver then compounded this enormous error by adding that she was so relieved when Abby didn't join the other nurses in the walkout and is so glad she is still around.

    Thus Weaver has sealed our fate for at least one more season of "The Abby Show".

    I would like to see Abby's mom come back. I'm a fan of Sally Fields. (BTW, she looked great)!

    This episode will be re-aired on 01/29, in place of a new episode.
