No, he isn't a Chancellor but I don't remember if we ever knew his dad. I think that Katherine has been a Chancellor for as long as she has been on the show. Way back when, for some reason that escapes me now, Brock "married" Jill by doing their own vows or whatever. I think I remember that it was when Jill was pregnant with Phillip. Anyway, Katherine was married to Mr Chancellor and Brock offered to marry Jill. It wasn't legal and never consummated which I'm sure we're all glad about now that they're supposedly brother and sister, or not.Originally Posted by shyra;3400411;
Anyway, I'm pretty sure that Mr Chancellor sort of inherited Chancellor Industries when he married Katherine. I think I remember that she already owned it.
The man who played Mr Chancellor was a very distinguished man and I thought he was very sexy. Later he played the husband of one of those ditzy sisters on the night time show Soap. It was a complete role reversal. He ran around in one of those strap undershirts (wifebeater) all the time. If you've ever watched the British comedy "Keeping Up Appearances" on PBS, then the guy who plays Onslow reminds me greatly of the Soap character ... who was first Mr Chancellor. Still with me?.

A nod to a sister soap opera, The Guiding Light, which has been cancelled after 72 years, 57 of which were on television, the rest on radio. Just amazing! I remembering watching this for a while, and don't remember why I stopped. Kind of sad.

Right, I should have said "Kay's progeny" instead of "Chancellor".I forgot about Jill & Brock's non-marriage, that's really going back decades. Philip Sr. was on Soap? It's not Richard Mulligan, is it? I remember watching Soap on the sly, my parents didn't allow us to watch it.
I'm confused. Is Billy fantasizing about Mackenzie? (Who, I suppose, might not be his sister after all???) I missed a good chunk of the show and I couldn't figure out who the woman with the short dark hair was that he was "talking" to. Does this mean Mackenzie will be returning as well? I didn't get a good look at her - it's not the same actress as it was before, is it?![]()

I don't ever remember seeing Brock's father but his name was Gary Reynolds If I recall correctly. I have been watching this show from the womb almost,lol.Originally Posted by Muduh;3398680;
Yes, Mac is returning soon and she will be played by Clementine Ford, the daughter of Sybil Sheppard.Originally Posted by AJane;3400536;

Ooops, I should have said "cousin", not "sister". Cybil Sheppard's daughter, eh? I'll have to look closer for a resemblance.

I didn't read the spoiler, and hope that I'm not being repetitive, but yesterday I heard it announced that Clementine is a proud member of the gay community. Don't know if that's new or old news.

No, the guy who was married to the other sister. Graying hair, sort of Latin looking, vaguely resembles (to me) Cary Grant. I never watched Soap but several years ago I saw a few reruns or something.Originally Posted by AJane;3400536;
McKenzie is Brock's daughter so would she and Billy be related? We're both confused.
Cybil is from here and she did own a big unusual looking house down on the river front but may have sold it a while back.

I heard the same thing too about Clementine. Both her and her mother were on The L Word. I could not be on a show with my mother that had such explicit sex scenes as the L word and we were both a part of it.
