Whoopi!

I loved the premier and this is going to be one of the few non-reality shows I'm going to follow. Now that Reality TV has taken over TV, I have very little time for any other shows but this, Friends, Will & Grace, and Wanda At Large are the one's I'm gonna keep up with. But what did everyone here think of it or did you watch it?

The first 10 minutes were okay. After that, it went downhill fast.

yeah, I wasn't impressed, but I wanted to be.

It seems like they relied WAY to heavily on stereotypes. While I acknowledge that it is at times a GREAT way to bring to light how stupid stereotypes are, I don't think they did a good job of it.

Whoopie was way to loud and angry throughout the entire show. Lots of people were loud and angry. Plus I think they tried to cover too much in a premeire episode.
1. She's a one hit wonder star
2. Her brother is jobless and looking
3. The "contract" for the TV (which may have been funny if it hadn't seemed like an after thought to fill up a few minutes.

Blah, blah. blah.

I probably will give it another look, but I am not holding out a lot of hope. It's too bad too, because I think Whoopie CAN be very funny and thought provoking (sp?).

i didn't really care for the commercials, so i didn't watch the premiere.

however, normally, if i'm not totally attached to a show, it will find success. only shows i love are canned early on.

I watched this again last night. It has a few funny moments, but you can FEEL how they're stretching to get to them. There's an air of desperation to the whole show.

Ugh, we watched it again last night. They are REALLY getting thin on the jokes. The attempts at making them reek of desperation.

I taped last night's episode because I was online while it was on, and I just watched it today (Whoopi wants hockey tickets and gets some from a blind man who wants to hook up with her and what's-his-face tries internet dating, etc, etc, etc) and I loved it! I must just have a sense of humr, what with Wanda at Large and now this . . .

Yes, Colby, that's it. You've got a sense of humor, along with the 10 people still watching Wanda and Whoopi.
