Stephanie March joined the cast of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” in its second season, directly following her Broadway debut in the highly acclaimed production of Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman.”
On the gritty drama “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” March portrays a prosecuting attorney. “I feel so fortunate to be a part of such a creative and dynamic team, both in front of and behind the cameras,” says March.
Born in Dallas and raised in San Angelo, Texas, March was a shy child, but knew early on that she loved the arts.
March’s academic drive and desire to perform led her to Northwestern University where she continued to act. After graduating, her very first audition led to her first professional acting role as Helena in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in Chicago, where she continued to pursue her stage career.
March recently completed filming “Head of State” (marking the directorial debut of Chris Rock), starring Rock and Bernie Mac. The comedy is scheduled to be released in 2003.
An avid reader, March lives in New York, loves to travel and enjoys swimming, yoga and dance in her free time. Her birthday is July 23.
