I don't know where the next seven episodes are going, but I hope they utilize the same layering of character and plot over the remainder of the short season.

I'm looking forward to the next episode. Oh, did I say old Becky sees surrogacy as a way to make money for a car and a down payment on a house? Well played.
Plus TJ married the black girl he refused to kiss all those years ago( they both served) their daughter is so funny, I want to teach cats to bark!!

I am wishy-washy at this point.

After reading the article I posted from Pop Sugar, I felt intrigued. I liked the direction they were taking for most of the characters. Biggest disappointment was that we'd only get to see Johnny Galecki in one program, but I understood why.

Fast forward to watching and I was but as the show progressed, I felt empathy for both sides of the coin. The conservative wanting to know their grandchild... the liberal seeing that a young boy in festive clothing is no more noteworthy than a little girl being a tomboy... it was open-minded and fun.

But then DT called Roseanne, as if the success of the ratings was due in part to him, and I was immediately back on the fence.

    Re: Roseanne - The Reboot

I never understood the appeal of the original Will & Grace and so I'm not at all interested in the revival. I watched a couple episodes of the original series and that was enough for me. I couldn't stand Karen's whiney voice and the Sean Hayes character was too much of a gay stereotype to hold my interest.

Back to Roseanne,.... if the rumors are true, I'm hearing they've already renewed the revival for a second season. To anyone "on the fence," it's worth a second look if you liked the original series. If they continue to give equal time to any political discussions, the show should be worth watching. Other than the political stuff, there are enough layers to the Connor family dynamic to warrant an interesting episode week after week.

Does anybody know what happened to Estelle Parson's character? I got the feeling she's supposed to have passed away, but since I didn't watch the old "lottery winning" season, I must have missed that part. I would love for her to return to the cast. The episodes with "Craftmatic Adjustable Bev" were some of the funniest, imo. I especially loved their Thanksgiving episodes.

Itís hard to know what theyíre keeping from the final season since it was a book within a book (the dad didnít die), so Bevís fate is a question that hasnít been answered.

The original series never "clicked" for me, and this one didn't either -
that's just me and my particular sense of humor, I suppose.
I'm glad that lots of folks find it amusing and I hope that it continues on that way.

The politics issue made me not watch the first episode --- I just hope that it doesn't continue that way, cause I feel like I'm missing out on some good fun. But honestly guys, politics has become so excruciatingly painful, that it can even ruin a classic sit-com for some folks, like me.

I don't think there was any in the second part. It was Becky's uterus and Marks clothing. Both were handled well..
