Judging from other HBO shows and the dark nature of this story I don't expect it to get less violent...

Had HBO free this weekend, so watched the first two episodes. Interesting setup, and would be intriguing to figure out the big picture. I like the subtle differences in the same lines depending on the changed narratives.

I just caught the second episode and I loved it. I love the premise.

It kind of reminds me of Carnival and Ex Machina.

Hopefully I catch the first episode as well so I'm caught up.

This is a show where I definitely prefer NOT to be spoiled. I am enjoying watching the story unfold. I didn't even read the previous post that included a description of the original movie because I thought it might ruin the experience!

I agree about the level of graphic killing but I liked this last episode much better. It had more of a balanced story line and I'm fascinated by the people, machinations, and actors on the other side of Westworld.

My only complaint at this point is that the storyline is starting to feel like it's moving very slowly. We are getting such tiny progression in each character's story each week.

I am curious what Dr. Ford has up his sleeve with the mysterious new plot. I liked the moment when Maeve discovered the stash of drawings, and it's interesting that the helmeted workers have been explained within the world as Native folklore.

    So many developments and questions!

    - I really like Maeve. What will she do with her new intelligence? She could be a great evil genius, but how easy will it be for the humans to reign her back in?

    - Interesting that Dolores was entirely absent from the last episode. I thought she was hearing something that was programmed into her to manifest at some point, but I wonder if her voices are the same ones affecting the other hosts like the kid who killed his dog.

    - I thought it was peculiar that the Man in Black killed Lawrence, but then he showed up again in Dolores's story. I have assumed these two threads were occurring at the same time in different parts of the world, but I expect them to intersect at some point. Why would they bring back a host when the potential exists for them to cross a story where they have died?

    - What is going on with Theresa? Is she really involved with corporate espionage, or is she being framed?

    - Interesting that Dr. Ford set up his "family" to only respect commands from him. What is the motive behind that choice?

    - Where does Arnold fit into all of this!?

    Re: Westworld on HBO

I would really like to know more about Arnold. Is Dr. Ford really Arnold? And is Maeve the "worthy adversary" the Man in Black was wondering about? I thought it may have been Dolores, but now that Maeve has been turned up to 11...hmm. Those techs might have really screwed up there.

Heck, I don't even know if the techs aren't robots after Maeve asked them how they know they're human.

    Love this show!

Me too! All I know is that I'm pulling for Maeve! And her doctor friend.
