Re: 11/23 Show Discussion

I'm here tonight!

First band performing: Tres!Bien singing "Get off of my Cloud"

Sheila E showing some "boobage" tonight...

She said she didn't expect them to be here this week...she also said the guitar player was out of tune.

Me n BB,

I actually think this was a good choice for Tres Bien. They may have even secured a spot next week. I didn't feel as though they wouldn't be here though. I don't see where Sheila got that.

Re: 11/23 Show Discussion

Next up:

DMHO singing "I'm Free"

John didn't care for it....said it was "squeaky clean"...he wanted to know why they didn't sing "Bitch" (said in a slightly smartass tone!)

Sheila liked it...

Dicko thought they could have picked a better blues style song....

Re: 11/23 Show Discussion

DMHO, I still like the big band sound, but I gotta agree with Dicko on this one. It was just a weird choice of songs. I thought they were in danger of not being back this week, & I definitely see issues for next week.

Yep, not a good song choice. I think they should have gone with my pick, Beast of Burden.

Re: 11/23 Show Discussion

I don't normally watch this show (left the TV on after Seinfeld today), but I just caught Denver & the Mile-high Orchestra. Boy! I love the brass band combo, but the vocals fell a bit flat (er, not literally, especially coming on the heels of the "out of tune" comment )

I don't like Sixwire, but not a bad rendition.

Re: 11/23 Show Discussion

I like Sixwire and I really liked that performance!!

Johnny and Sheila both liked it....as did Dicko...

Dicko called Andy Childs "Sir Lancelot"...
