I'm glad you started this thread. The kids are just too over the top for me. The Big Band guys didn't do Dylan very good, but I guess maybe that was to be expected. I liked The Likes of You, I think they have a good sound & their Dylan was definitely better than any others. The Hatch though just sucked big time. Their original song was nothing but noise. Worst of the night so far, even worse that the little guys.
I'm not impressed with this all girl group Rocket at all.
Feel free so start one if the show is on and no one has created one yet.Originally Posted by razorbacker;2631839;

The good thing about Dylan is that almost ANYONE can sing his songs better than he did.
I mean that they aren't dependent on a voice. I love Dylan so don't think I'm dissin' him.

Gee, someone with "Dick" in their name is another in the Simon-train, who hates uniquely American genres of music.

Rocket is going to explode before they ever get off the launching pad. Talk about overwrought. Scream it sister. Love the blue grass guys. They are wonderful musicians, but I'm not sure how young America will take to them.
Treehouse of Horror is the ONE reason I can never totally mind The Simpsons being of for its 100th season, or however long it is now...
Time for some hippies! They ought to do a good Dylan.
EDIT - Hey, the lead hippie even does a Dylan voice...

I love the voice of the Likes of You lead singer.
Of the first 4 bands his has been the only one to impress me.
(I have it taped so I am behind here)
If you gotta play 3 part metal, you might as well do it like the Muggs. They are good & work well together. Sort of like an early Grand Funk.
The Clarks appear to be blowing away every other act by about a mile.
LATER: And Wow. "Dicko" really deserves the name...

The Clark Bros. are hands down the best musicians in this competition. The brother on the dobro actually broke a string & didn't miss a note. Ashley played fiddle for Carrie until this opportunity came up for him & to see him on stage is just jaw dropping. I hope America keeps them in this thing.
