Thanks for the info. I'm not going to even bother to watch it now.
Sixwire was robbed. But I hope they find success now even with the 2nd place finish

I think it's great that Sixwire becomes the true winner. They get the full run of exposure but won't be tied to 19E as restrictively as if they had finished first.
Quelle surprise. A truly boring band wins a truly boring reality program.
Me neither. I'm not even planning on the occasional channel surf while I watch something else equally tedious, like I did last week.Originally Posted by myrosiedog;2725887;

I would be saying this if Sixwire had won. I never found the Clark Brothers boring. I don't know if they were the best band in this competition, but they're the ones who kept me tuning in each week.Originally Posted by Rattus;2726748;
Sixwire's performances were usually where I channel surfed.

I tivo-ed the show and usually fast forwarded through both DMHO and the Clarks because I got to where I couldn't stand either one.
Honestly, I dont' see the Clark's becoming real popular to a mass audience. Even to a country audience. Maybe, but I doubt it.
Sixwire seemed more commercially marketable to me.
But they did grow on me. Not enough where I'd buy a CD of theirs, but I didn't mind watching the lead singer each week. The Clarks lead singer creeped me out for some reason.

Me too. It would have been a hoot if they had won, though, wouldn't it?Originally Posted by myrosiedog;2726798;
Sixwire IS more marketable, because they sound like every other bland boring psuedo country act out there today. But do we really need another one? I didn't find the lead singer all that good looking, but I do think the Clark's lead singer is nice to look at. So, I guess it's all just what your taste is.Originally Posted by myrosiedog;2726798;
I doubt I'd buy a CD of any of them, including the Clarks.
How do you know this? Was the finale pre-taped?Originally Posted by bbnbama;2725390;

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the finale was taped on Sunday, Krom.
No secret that I love the Clarks, but I'm not sure that I'm pleased with them winning. As long as 19E doesn't ruin them, I guess it's OK.

I would definitely buy an album by the Clark's. Their musicianship gets me every time, and the passion in the singing. The vocal sound isn't always wonderful, but it is so heartfelt.
I can see a future tour where the Brothers are the opening act for Carrie Underwood. Same management, great chemistry between Carrie & Ashley, & possibly even some duets.
