Food Network Bob is so in the tank for Martie, it's sickening. Sigh. She's just not as good as they are trying to make us think she is, it's too obvious.

But so far everyone is doing okay: Malcolm, Martie and Michelle already went. But Martita just choked and finished her speech with 30 seconds still on the clock. Commercial...

LOL, Martita just stood there and smiled for the last 30 seconds. Bye-bye!

Yvan was cheerful, but didn't say a whole lot until after they questioned him after the 90-second spot. And his delivery was sing-song. But in the questioning he shared a very personal story that blew them away about starting out poor with his family in America.

Ippy went and was fine, but the judges kept bugging him about not being "energetic" enough. They still don't get Hawaii or its lifestyle and attitudes, because they think "star" chefs have to be hyperactive. I guess they'll never have a Hawaiian chef on their network then, unless the chef moved to NYC when he was 2.

Emily stumbled through her presentation. I had switched to the Met-Yankee game during the commercial so I missed how the judges rated her food.

Nikki tried to rein in the aggressiveness and bombed, and her food wasn't great. Hopefully she'll be in the bottom.

Team Alton: Justin and Marti are safe. Emily is on the bottom.
Team Giada: Ippy and Yvan are safe. Martita is on the bottom.
Team Bobby: Malcolm and Michelle are safe, Nikki is on the bottom. (And she's pissed)

The bottom 3 have to create the perfect burger and present it.

Martita and Nikki presented well and the food was good.

Emily's burger was perfect but her presentation was a little shaky.

Emily is out, and now I'm pissed. Nikki and Martita need to go. Emily should get her own show anyway. Grrr...

I can't believe Emily went out so quickly. They had always liked her and her food. But, Nikki has been consistantly in the bottom and she is not getting any more likeable. She should have left for sure!

Personally, I think all three of them in the bottom should go at some point, but I was expecting Emily to outlast the other two, and Marti, and the guy with the dreadlocks, and Yvan, and........etc...etc..etc... I actually found Emily a bit fake, but the judges had seemed to be buying it. I am really surprised!

I too am not seeing what Bob and Susie see in Marti. She is always so awkward.

I agree that none of the bottom three were going to make it to the end, but Nikki's first dish was BAD. I was hoping for a Nikki exit.
