I agree Aarti is a favorite to win. I can see that from the judges, too.

I agree that Aria is not distinct enough, I like her, but after we got Melissa last year (home/family cook) I don't see her making it. I would love to learn more about cooking indian food, and think Aarti is the one to beat. I like Brad, but the title Pro just doesn't cut it - there are secrets from a Restaurant Chef, and other pros there...like all of them, what does he mean by pro? I like Tom, but again don't think there's a place for him. Paul is a chauvinist - I would change the channel every time, I want to like the person I watch, and can't stand his fake smily face any more!
I agree that Aarti is the front runner, and has been since day one.
I have a really hard time understanding what Serena is saying, even when she supposedly has "slowed it down". I like her much better than Brianna though.
For some reason I rather like Tom. He reminds me of an Everyday Joe cooking.
Not a surprise for Das to be eliminated last night.
Paul should be going soon.
Brianna seems to be quite a good cook, but I'd never tune into her show. Serena may have slowed down; I still find her hard to follow. And she just doesn't seem at all real to me. And, hate to say this, but I find Arti fake, as well.
I'm still enjoying this show a lot more than Design Star. I really enjoyed seeing the pro chefs last night, especially Susan Feninger. They seem a lot nicer than many of the foode network stars this channel employs!![]()
To Thine Own Self Be True
I can't see myself watching Brianna, she seems so insincere to me. Arti seems fake in her presentations, but what they show of her interacting with everyone shows that she is warm and inviting, and I think she'll grow into showing that to the camera. All her dishes and ideas look so good I want to taste them and learn from her. The judges seemed so impressed/surprised that she'd make pomegranate molassas, and her explanation seemed so simple that it seems like there could be a goldmine of other things that seem complicated but are quite simple (if using the right ingredients).
I finally watched last night. I understood the challenge to be risky....as in take the chef's favorite childhood dish and put your twist on it. I thought Serena did that. I prefer breaded chicken to fried even though my fav childhood dish is fried chicken. I didn't agree with her being in the bottom. I thought Aria should have been in the bottom with Daz and Herb.
I like Herb for some reason. Maybe it's b/c I like the healthy food aspect he brings to it. I hope he does better next week. I'd like to see what he can bring. Don't care for Paul or Brianna...which, how did she win that challenge at the beginning. That took me by surprise. But I think it made her over confident.
I still think Arti is the forerunner and this is hers to loose.

I really like Aarti. I don't see anything fake in her, and right now she's my favorite. I also really like Serena, she seems genuine and I like how she tries making up for her mistakes, like slowing down as she speaks and calling out in the kitchen as she moves so there won't be any more acccidents. Also wonder why the judges didn't like her dish.
Aria, I don't know what it is about her, but she's not clinching it for me. Paul is a weirdo, don't like him, hope he goes soon. Brianna's the worst, though. She's rude, arrogant, condescending, cold and impersonal, and the preview for next episode with her trying to kick people out of the kitchen is just emphasizing how much I dislike her.
This is a big side bar but I hope someone can answer this for me. Is Robert Irvine back on Food Network making new Dinner Impossible episodes?

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage.
Indeed, he has been back with new episodes for quite a while now. And thank goodness for that. I enjoy the show, and it wasn't really the same with Michael Symon as the host, much s I like him.Originally Posted by Bearcata;3958119;
ITA, he's much more fun to watch. Wish he hadn't gotten in such hot water by padding his resume. :nonoOriginally Posted by Rembrant;3958229;
