"Rice is great when you're hungry and want 2,000 of something' -- Mitch Hedberg
I like this guy, but I don't know why
He reminds me a bit of Dean Cain, an actor that I have no feelings for one way or the other.

Hope Santino goes all the way. Yeah there's a slight resemblance to Dean Cain
Not liking Santino. He's cocky.
He looks old to me when compared to the other contestants.
Paintin' the Town Blue!
Added post-makeover picture for comparison.
Santino's ok. Nothing amazing, at least from what I've seen. I always expect him to speak like Antonio Banderas, but he doesn't.![]()
This week was the first episode I've seen and I have to admit I was a bit confused as to why they booted Santino.
There seemed to be no real explanation of why and no real reason to boot him over any of the other guys, although I fully contend I might be missing something due to not being familiar with the show.

"That's Numberwang!"
He might have been difficult.......... not loud-and-difficult a la Viviana, but difficult in a quiet way. Pure conjecture of course. I'm sad to see him go. He's got a great armed forces look.
Anyway I found this on the internet, from the blonde casting expert:
''You're looking for somebody who's got a physique that somebody wants to watch for two hours, the smile, the winningness and the acting ability,'' says casting director Victoria Burrows, who has worked on ''The Lord of the Rings'' and ''Cast Away.'' Burrows led experts who narrowed the field. ''Star'' chose not to give viewers a vote because that live component would have made it impossible to have the movie ready the week after the competition ended. The film, shot for about $5 million in Cleveland, is set in Las Vegas, with Billy Zane as the villain.
Santino has an adequate resemblance to Billy Zane, so that could have been a factor as well

ANTMrox - thanks for that tidbit. I think you hit it on the head with Billy Zane.
I thought the closeup shot of Santino as a sniper was great. He had intense compelling eyes. But he is like a watered-down version of BZ in his overall look.

Well, on another thread someone posted a theory that House (who was given the card by Howard Fine) eliminated Santino by assigning him the sniper roleOriginally Posted by hepcat
