That was my thought exactly. I don't mind that John won, as I had picked him as a likely finalist early on, but when Trump said he was going to do something different and then just announced the winner....well, what's different about that?
I also thought that in a two hour long show, they could have saved a couple of minutes at the end for the winner to say something.
Better that than the commercial for the new show about the Playboy club that was trying to be all rat pack smooth. Hope the show actually deals with the rampant sexism Steinem saw when she went undercover as a bunny too and doesn't just try to make the whole era look "cool." For a lot of people--women, minorities etc.--it wasn't all that "cool."
This is the first year that I have every watched The Apprentice and I really enjoy it. I started watching because of the celebrities not sure if I would like it during a regular season.
How many times has Trump named a woman as winner? Honestly wondering.
Woo hoo! John Rich for the win! Good choice, Trump. :up
I agree, but I also think other factors come into play:Quote:
I think it's great that people support charities that help kids, but I think it's important for people to live out the last years of their lives in comfort and dignity too, and I think sometimes charities that deal with that get ignored just because people don't like to think about the inevitability of getting older. Or dealing with those one loves getting older.
People incorrectly assume that insurance, medicare, medicaid will take care of everything and/or that the elderly and their families have assets to cover.
Also, crass as it may sound, there is often the feeling that elderly people are on the way out vs. children just beginning their lives.
Maybe when Trump stated he tonight he'd be doing something different, he was reading from a pre-written script that had been written ahead of time. Like back when he was caught up in his delusional presidential aspirations. He was supposedly going to announce whether or not he would be running, on tonight's show. Maybe they forgot to smite that portion from the script he was reading from, perhaps? Maybe his something "different" was originally to announce he would be running for president?
