| Only 3 episodes left until the first Nashville Star is crowned There are only 3 episodes left. I am very disappointed that Amy is no longer in the competition, but I'm still curious to see how this will all play out. I have included the format they have planned for us below. Do any of you have any expectations on how things will go, or what you would like to see? USA Network is not exactly known for their effective marketing, what kind of exposure do you think the winner will get when the show is over? Episode 7: NUMBER ONES Premieres: Saturday, April 19, 10PM ET(LIVE!) / 10PM PT We’ll begin this week’s show with the remaining finalists’ reactions to the elimination of those who have been sent home so far - and learn which contestant they think should go next. Back live at the BellSouth Acuff Theatre, we’ll reveal the latest voting results and send one more contestant packing. This week’s episode is all about #1 songs: contestants will sing a cover song that previously hit the top of the chart, and then debut a song written by a hit-writing songwriter. After rehearsing at famous local Nashville nightspots, each contestant will perform live at the BellSouth Acuff and then get commentary from our judges. After recapping all of their performances, we’ll once again ask you, the audience, to vote for your favorite. Episode 8: DUETS Premieres: Saturday, April 26, 10PM ET(LIVE!) / 10PM PT We’ll begin by saying goodbye to one more contestant, and then we’ll watch as the three finalists who remain begin work on a very special duet. First, they’ll meet their duet partners: two top Nashville recording artists (one male, one female — tune in to find out who!). We’ll see them choose a song to sing and work together with their partner to get it right. Finally, LIVE on the BellSouth Acuff Theatre stage, we’ll get to see which hopeful Nashville Star is able to hold their own next to a professional performer. Our judges will once again offer commentary, but in the end, it’s up to you, the home audience, to vote for the performance you loved the most. But this week, your vote is the most important vote of all: the top vote-getter in this week's voting will be crowned the very first "Nashville Star"! Episode 9: GRAND FINALE Premieres: Saturday, May 3, 10PM ET(LIVE!) / 10PM PT It all comes down to tonight! We'll begin by revealing the results of the previous week's voting and say goodbye to one of our final three contestants, and then we’ll be just minutes away from granting a recording contract to one of the 12 dreamers we first met in Episode 1! This week we’ll present a spectacular Tribute to Nashville concert, featuring some of today’s biggest names in country music (including Wynonna, Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, and more!) We'll also bring back all of our eliminated finalists to witness the big moment. And finally, it will happen: one person will be crowned the very first "Nashville Star." It’s an event you won’t want to miss! | |

| I've allowed myself to become too emotionally invested in the show. ![]() I read these three synposes, and all I feel is unbridled crankiness that Amy won't be participating. I need to distance myself from the show. We need some time apart, me and the show. ![]()

| Paulie, Paulie, Paulie. You just need to transfer all your Amy love to Miranda. She's young, she's cute, she looks great in jeans and she's "slingin' a guitar." And she's from Texas, where all the very best blondes come from. ![]() Now ... on topic ... the duets show sounds awesome! I wish Miranda would sing a Loretta Lynn song on the #1 hits show. She's really do well at that. |

| If Brandi goes this Saturday, and Brandon goes at the start of the show the following Saturday, that duets show ought to be really good. ![]()

| I'm bitter and disillusioned. Your dream scenario won't take place, Z. Those two have armies of hobgoblins clogging the phone lines to keep their leaders alive. The Duets show will probably be something like Brandon, Brandi, and John Arthur. *shudder*

I've got to be right one of these times! (Until then, I'll just pretend like I'm right. )

| If it comes down to Brandi as one of the finalists, I won't bother watching. Brandon is not my favorite, but he's grown on me somewhat. Doesn't mean I want to see him in the final three! The formats sound interesting. I hope they pick better #1 songs then they did over on AI (what a boring show that is compared to this one!)

| Duets will be fun....wonder who's gonna be their duet companions... Will Reba be there? Maybe Brad will be back, bringing his guitar this time? I agree that AI is boring compared to this one.... I guess the song selections in this one are more varied (some fast some slow) & the live band on stage makes A WORLD of difference! I seriously hope that Brandon won't win... if Brandi wins, oh well ... at least she has a voice even though she has an attitude already .... Brandon... he's cool but he needs some more coaching before he's ready for a cd :-)

Can you imagine the torture poor Tracey will be forced to endure if Brandi or Brandon wins? The judges have a hard enough time being nice to those two as is. Ever notice that one of the three always has to say something positive if the other two say something negative? I wish they would tell us what they truly think! We know the truth, Brandi and Brandon are misplaced among the other talent in this show! ~Michiganlover~ | |
