yes i think you are right on. I wonder if the fact that they dont have an age limit on it, like AI does, makes so they get some older, more serious artists that have really been trying hard for a long time to make it into the music industry.... except for Miranda at 19 of course... I think she has her career cut out for her.

Also in general, I feel in country music, with the crowd as well as the performers, that they are less shallow than those in the pop industry, thus they REALLY hit more home with me, I can relate to them a lot easier than I can with the AI contestants...
So I guess that's why it gets more emotional as well

(oh yeah except when brandi left... I feel bad for bagging on her but sheesh..come on. She needs to grow a backbone before she hits the stage)

Wonder why they didn't do the "Duets" show? I really was looking forward to that.

Oh well ... next week it's all over. I'm really gonna miss this show. I've even stopped watching Trading Spaces because of it, and now I don't want to go back. Wah!

wonder if they're saving duets for last show? That would be a cool finale show.... :-)

It sounds like they're going with duets next week? Nancy was reading off a number of names from a list at the end of the show. I figured they were potential duet partners. Probably wouldn't want to commit some major country star to practice a duet with someone who might not get to perform.

This is from the USA Network:

Well, there you have it, America! Did you cast YOUR vote? Don't forget to tune in for the exciting finale on May 3, where the very first "Nashville Star" will be announced. The show will include performances by special guests Trace Adkins, Jo Dee Messina, and Clint Black, as well as a one-time-only performance by all 12 of the original finalists!

Looks like we'll have to endure Brandi one more time!

Buddy & Trace Adkins would make a good duet team, they both have deep soft voices, it would definitely be an interesting match!

Or maybe they'll do male/female, I guess Jo Dee, although I'm not a huge fan of hers at all, would be a cool voice-match to Buddy ... I don't know who JAM would do a duet with that wouldn't overshadow his soft & quiet voice :-)

I agree that it may be difficult to find someone to sing with JAM. He does have a very soft voice. I think that Buddy could pretty much hold his own with almost anyone. Not really sure about Miranda.
