| Kind of an odd selection criteria this week. I wonder how many of them will choose country songs and how many will try for something patriotic from the pop or traditional categories.

| they better go for the country ones, considering the audience they have is mostly country music fans & will expect patriotic country music :-) There's plenty to choose from ![]()

| I was not happy with Brandi staying. Her attitude definately needs an adjustment. She even complained about the way they sang the National Anthem..um...shut up please.

| I was very surprised to see Amy go.... but then I thought about it, and she is really the only one that doesnt "stand out" in some way in my mind. I think she's great, she's an excellent singer and she WILL have a career in country music, but among the ones that are left now, she was the only one that wasn't "all that memorable" in my mind.. I think Brandi is getting worse every week. I used to love her, she has a great voice but man... I'm getting tired of see her getting so emotional and her temperament... I totally agreed with what Buddy was trying to say, that was indeed an important & honorable task they were handed... I loved tonight's performances, but if Brandon isn't out by next week I'll throw something at the TV screen lol... he's unique & got a good style, but I dont think he belongs among the ones that are left... he should've gone tonight, but I guess that didn't happen I agree he has potential and if he gets a voice coach to help him out a little, he will definitely be a very unique country music artist & someone who will pull in the "young & cool" crowd towards country music.Buddy is still my favorite, I really truly hope he'll win this, but even if he doesn't, I do believe his 10 years of struggle has finally paid off, because someone is going to snap him up. Was a fun show, the way they did elimination surely was nervewrecking though!! Man... but very exciting way to do it!

| Brandi needs to go. What a spoiled, selfish little diva she's turned out to be. I am hoping that the footage at the end of the show will result in her getting the boot next week. I think the producers showed it because they're getting scared she might actually win this thing! I was disappointed in my home-girl Miranda's song choice. But, she's playing to the crowd and probably knows the people who vote love that mean-spirited, jingoistic crap. Loved JA's song choice. A nice, positive song about our history. Same for Buddy. Amy reminds me of Alison Krause. Pretty, but not a stunner, extremely talented, but light on personality. I wish her well and hope she finds a way to make it. I would definitely buy her CD. I think JA is the next to go. The voters seem to be voting on the "twang" scale, and he's the least twangy at this point. |

| I wasn't able to watch the show last night, but was on my cell phone with my hubby when the vote came down...he was at home watching & keeping me informed, and I almost drove off the road when he said that AMY was voted off...leaving Brandi and Brandon and JA there!!! IMO all 3 of them should have been voted off prior to Amy, I think she was far more talented. WTF!!!!???!!! I'm deeply disappointed in the voting at this point. Yet, my husband said that the judges seemed really accurate, it's just that their opinions aren't reflected in the public's votes. Sigh...I don't know if I'll hang in there much longer if the voting continues this way... ![]() |

| wow- that was surprise with Amy going home. I agree with the Allison Kruse reference. She just didn't have stand out personality that draws you to. Please oh please let Brandi go home next! The producers aren't stupid, they know showing her in that negative light has got to have some affect on the viewers. I vote over and over for everyone but her, hoping that will help with shoving her towards the door. Brandon, I still kinda like him. He has such an interesting sound. I certainly don't think he should win but don't mind him still hanging around. Miranda was not at her best but I doubt she will get the next boot. JA is winning me over. I wasn't a fan at first but the more I see him the better he seems to be. Buddy is my top choice at this point. He has definately turned my mind around to thinking he deserves to win. Not a single flaw ever! WTG BUDDY!! ![]() |

| Of the remaining, I really think only Miranda and Buddy have what it takes to survive as a Nashville Star! Buddy has served his time, and seems ready to make it big. Miranda is super cute, and young...so she can have many years of success in country music. I really want to see Miranda win...but I really want her and Buddy to be the final two. None of the others stike me as being standouts. Sure John Arthur can sing quite well..but he is not really unique. Not a big standout. It sickened me to see Amy go so soon in the competition. I was vying for Brandi and Brandon to go before her. Brandi has to go..what a selfish, prideful, little b_tch! She doesn't feel she has to practice everyday to be good? Yeah maybe that is why she is not that good! Also, some of the contestents seem to have problems with heavy partying....that makes no sense to me. They have been given the opportunity of a lifetime to receive mass exposure...but yet it seems to mean very little to them. Do they know how many thousands of aspiring musicians would love to be in their shoes? It is just silly and sad, that they take this opportunity with such a grain of salt! ~Michiganlover~ |
