| I'm here, Eden. I'm just sulking. ![]() I was frickin' livid when Amy left and Brandi/Brandon stayed. All I can figure is that those two clowns have HUGE families. I recorded the show to watch at my leisure, but I couldn't resist tuning in live to see who got booted. As soon as I saw how they were doing it (how stressful for the contestants, huh? Sheesh!), I kept popping back in to see who got the boot. I wasn't even sure I'd watch the tape when I found out Amy was eliminated, but I made myself watch it last night. ![]() I'm so bitter that I have to endure at least one more week of the squinty-eyed Queen of Blubbering Breakdowns. Did you catch her cheesy showing off during the Star-Spangled Banner practice? Yeah, we get it. You have great control of that big voice of yours. You still annoy the crap out of me. Get out of my face. Argh. And then Brandon. I really dislike his phony voice, and it grates on me more and more every week. I thought the final four would be the very deserving quartet of Buddy, Miranda, John Arthur, and, of course, Amy. Brandon and Brandi have a bunch of ballot-stuffers out there, folks. Get ready for some other excellent candidates to get the boot in the next couple of weeks. End of thoroughly one-sided, closed-minded rant. ![]()

| On the bright side, I was able to hear a bit more of Amy's singing. I thought she did a great job with Buddy's song at the end. The worst effort there was Brandon singing Brandi's song. You had the lethal combo of his terrible singing and her dumb original song. I was surprised my eardrums didn't explode.

| Unbelievable I was so convinced that either Brandi or Brandon would get the boot, I was not even concerned for my favorites. How on earth do they keep getting votes? I will admit that Brandon picked a good song for his voice, but more talented than Amy? Huh? And Brandi? I can only assume that the producers showed that unflattering footage of her to get people to open their eyes before this chick actually wins the whole thing. I've already decided, if it gets down to the last 2 and she is still there, I will not watch the show until I know whether she wins or not. Then I will NOT watch it. Quote:
Amy was so generic, I thought. She had a nice voice, but sounded like some many of the other girl singers (country and pop) who bore me to tears. My 3 favorites remain Buddy, John Arthur, and Miranda. I think Miranda has a great future in country - but don't think she should win this competition. I guess I would have to favor Buddy winning over John Arthur - although I think I personally like JA better. BTW - the way they announced who was getting booted off was really stressful. It was stressful for ME, sitting at home in my easy chair - I can only imagine how any of them could actually sing when their name was called. ![]() | |

| Hey, MistyK, weren't you just "Misty" before? I remember a Misty posting after episodes 4 and 5.

| Hey ... I was just glad no one sang that Tobey Keith piece of ca-ca "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue." There's no way Sony is gonna let Brandi win this. They're already publicly exposing her ugly personality to try to sway voters against her. I personally think they'd tamper with the voting lines just to ensure she doesn't win. It might be worth it, though, just to see the look of shock and disgust on Tracey Gershon's face if Brandi did win. |

| Tracey and I would probably look like fraternal twins in that situation.

| I think the problem here is that the fans of Buddy, Miranda and JA may think that their favorites are so good that they won't be voted off because they are so talented and deserve to win. They therefore don't bother to vote so often for them. On the other hand, maybe the fans of Brandi & Brandon see that their favorites are in danger of being voted off so they burn up the phone lines in order to insure that they will be kept in the competition. This shows how important our votes are. Talent alone won't win this....the contestants need our votes!!
