She must have just thousands of friends and family clogging those phone lines. It's the only thing I can imagine that would allow her to still be here.

I think a lot of people are still snowed by her crying jags. I've heard people say that she has the deck stacked against her because she's heavy and sensitive and she's come back from the judges saying bad things about her, etc., etc. etc. Every excuse in the world to overlook her lousy behavior. I just can't believe that people are so gullible!! So what if shes heavy--Buddy isn't exactly thin and you don't hear him trying to get sympathy votes. They all must get their feelings hurt by harsh comments but every one of them takes the comments and learns from them. Brandi's song should be "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me"!! Please, Brandi, just get the hell off my tv and go home!!

Speaking of how the contestants handle criticism ... did y'all notice the out-take of Miranda at the end of last week's show? She was imitating Charlie Robison saying "well ... you really need to work on NOT SMILIN'." Hee hee!

Yes it wouldn't surprise me that if Brandi was skinny, she would've been gone by now ....
Her size has nothing to do with people bagging on her, like you said look at Buddy! And just to mention a different show, look at Ruben & Kimberly L from AI ....

The size issue must just be a way to avoid the REAL reason people are complaining ....

With 4 contestants left, last night was a sad night for Carlisle County Kentucky residents. Our Star, Brandi Gibson did not get to sing. Although she will not win the final vote, I assure you, we have not seen the last of Brandi. This is the beginning of a wonderful career for OUR Brandi.

The sadness in no way can compare with the PRIDE felt for Brandi and the knowledge that she is in store for bigger and better things.

I'm sure you will all be happy to have Brandi back home again. I am happy that she is going back home again too. Too bad she didn't get her way last night but I'm sure her loss will help her grow up a little bit. So I guess we all won, didn't we?
