| WSIX-FM will be holding Nashville Star auditions for contestants in the Nashville, Tennessee area on Tuesday, October 22 at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville! | It looks like each local competition will be done by participating radio stations. Then each goes to a regional audition. The best of those will actually appear on the show. | |

| I like that they're allowing people of all ages to try out. It's just weird that they're doing a bunch of cities in places like Ohio and only one location in Texas. They really need to hold auditions in Austin, since it's the Nashville of the Southwest. |

| Yeah, they're doing auditions in odd places, I agree. But the nice thing is, they should have it narrowed way down by the time people actually get on-air. | |
