| Rip-off Alert: "Nashville Star" Jumping on the American Idol bandwagon, the USA Network announced Friday a nationwide search for the next country sensation. According to Reuters, open auditions for Nashville Star will kick off at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville Oct. 22. The winner will get a recording contract from Sony Music Nashville. | |

| I'll have to see this before I call it "crap." I mean, it's not like AI was such a fabulous show. This might be better. I like some country music and there's some I dislike. But there's no reason that a search for a country star will be any less compelling than AI (the bar is set pretty low to begin with). |
