![]() I LOVED this show. I wasn't even going to watch until Unk told me about it. I was laughing sooooo hard during parts of it. That guy is PRECELESS. So far, the most interesting show this season.

| After being underwhelmed by the American Idol premiere, I think I just lacked the energy to change the channel. I didn't expect much from MBFOF, but was very pleasantly surprised. My husband and I chuckled and guffawed our way through the whole show, and ended up really liking Steve. The chick--see I can't even remember her name--ended up looking like a fool. Even if his performance is designed to imply it, how egotistical is she that she fears he's falling in love with her? LET'S ALL DO THE NAKED DANCE! :monkeybut

| Great great show. I think the reason it works, i mean besides the fact that Steve is top notch funny, the perfectly cast actor, but the girl, the fact that she's so 'normal'. She's genuine with genuine reactions to this obnoxious person. It works. I don't remember the last time I laughed like this. Great stuff. |

| Are you guys nuts? This show was terrible! And my standards are pretty low -- I watched Joe Millionaire 2... But, Steve is way over the top; the hottub was just too much! And, it wasn't fun watching Randi get tortured -- it's not like she deserves it. She's a reasonably nice, if shallow, Catholic school teacher who is being blinded by the lure of the cash. I don't think I'll be tuning in again for this one. Unless, of course, her family DOES deserve to be tortured, which I suspect they might... |

| Over the top? Perhaps, but compared to the cast of "The Joe Schmo", I think Steve turned in a more nuanced and convincing performance than any of those actors. As for whether Randi deserves to be tortured, I have to echo LoneSTarSpur's sentiment: SHE AGREED TO GO ON A FOX SHOW, SHE DESERVES EVERY BIT SHE GETS.

| I thought this show was great! Those other shows are so serious, so good to have a truly funny show. Steve is hilarious, really liked him. Randi I have no sympathy for, she is playing a practical oke on her friends and family for money, and in return she is having a pratical joke played on her. All's fair. ![]() |

| Just finished watching the tape of this show, and I laughed from beginning to end! It was not the sleaze-fest I've come to expect from FOX. Nice to see host Claudia again - she used to be on CITY-TV up here in Toronto. The cute guys at the beginning: the 3rd guy she picked - Scott from Phoenix - looked very familiar to me, but I still can't place him. Of course he's probably an actor, so it could have been anywhere. And it's so refreshing to see honest reactions from Randi, the blushing bride. So far removed from the fake smiles we've gotten used to on The Bachelorette, Average Joe, etc. Steve is a gem! And a really good actor. We may need to start a new thread just for *Steve-isms*:"Our house can kick your house's ass!" "Beef: it's what's for breakfast." "Think about baseball, think about baseball......" "I'm like a pear on sticks." I'm hooked - just try to keep me away from the next episode! ![]()

| Just watched parts of the show last night channel surfing......had real mixed feelings...If the pretend financee hadn't been playing his drinking up so much been so obviously 'faux' drunk I might like the show and it has an interesting premace.... But it was a bit like watching a domestic violence incident about to happen...and it seems to have really been the cause of a lot of emotional termoil for the lady ..... Not that the producers could know that the lady they chose came from a trouble household but I hope they tell the finacee to take a different tack when they look at the tape...or I am going to really dislike this show.... |
