Wow thanks so much for the suggestions! I absolutely love the nu-jazz sound with the latin flavor. The only person I've head before and ABSOLUTELY love is Nicola Conte.

Thanks so much Mosaik! Everyone else needs to get into these hips sounds too!

    Hmm...I know a few.

First, my legion of symphonic-metal bands, the best of which is Within Temptation, who hail from the Netherlands. Even my mum (who's not a metal fan) loves their music. It's nearly indescribable...but beautiful.

Also, there's a Hawaiian artist named Israel Kamakawiwo'ole--he sings very well. Tragically, he passed away a few years ago...probably because he was twice the size of Ruben...he had a beatiful, haunting voice and sang some really neat covers! (Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World)

    No probs!

@ Silvy - I love Chicane as well... and X - Endless Rain was one of my favorite songs in 1990 or so...

I had a chance to see The Music when they opened for Coldplay a few weeks back, but we showed up late for the show and missed them... am I going to regret it?

    Yeah....
    Gackt! Gackt!!! GACKT!!!! Wai!!!

Please excuse my moment of insanity above.

I love Gackt's voice! It's so deep and sexy! I've only heard one of his songs before, that is, Vanilla, though. It's a very o_O song, but it's so fun! Lol. A couple of friends of mine like X-Japan. One of my friends can play an X-Japan song on the piano.. I don't know what it's called, though.

I'm slowly getting into Glay, another Japanese-rock (J-rock) band.

Well, my favorite band, Brand New, is pretty obscure. Some other good bands are Allister, Home Grown, the Riddlin' Kids, and Taking Back Sunday. Sadly, Taking Back Sunday broke up.
