Has anyone heard the controversy surrounding the new Tim. McGraw song?

I was just listening to a local station here in St. Louis and they played the controversal part of the song Red Rag Top.

The songs mentions, and I am paraphrasing, "she was two weeks along, I was out of work and she was still in school. we decided to not have the child", it also mentions the regrets associated with this decision.

Apparently, some parents have their panties in an uproar over the song being played on the radio.

What do ya all think?

I can understand some people being sensitive about it, but I think it's fine. Like it or not, some people DO make this decision and it is the best one for all parties involved. It's not like it is handled lightly or mockingly in the song.

Of course, I'm pro-choice.

I find that less offensive than that song where the guy says he doesn't know the difference between Iraq and Iran - whatever the hell that song is.

I have not heard the song. From what I heard about it in Randy'smom's post; I do not have a problem with it. I reserve the right to change my opinion as always.

I really hate it when people do this, whether it's music, tv, or movies. Is it really that hard to change the channel?

These are people with far too much free time.

Personally I like the song, and if anyone doesn't well they are free to listen to something else, is it that hard to change the dial?? It's made such an uproar here that a couple of stations pulled it. Of course I've never been one for censorship either. If you don't want to listen to it, no one is holding a guy to your head.

It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.
