One almost has to wonder how couldn't it be?

Reminds me of something I was telling someone the other day though.

After hearing greatness for a while, I want to tell them to sit to the side for awhile and let someone else have a chance.

How do you compete as a newcomer against a Streisand voice?

You don't, unless you're better or listeners get tired of hearing Streisand.

I don't care who it is, how much I adore them; after about 4 albums, my view is: You're great, take a break and let someone else have an opportunity to shine.

Your Man- Josh Turner (With Lyrics in the description) - YouTube

The chorus for that song was playing in my head throughout most of my walk tonight.

You know, as much as I dislike Scotty McCreery, this is not a bad song. It's catchy enough. It would be better as a novelty song.

Copperhead Road is a billion times better though.

    Right now the radio's on.

I'm honestly getting tired of K'naan's two songs.

Macklemore - Same Love is on the radio right now.

I don't like rap much, but this song's message is great.

Watching Linda Gayle singing Home Of The Brave looks like a parody. I'm assuming she's following in Jodi Miller's footsteps. Not a pretty contrast. Miller compared to Gayle is like a Mack truck running over a Toyota of that time.

The song was ultra-non-conformist for it's time (1965). Miller brings that out, revels in it. Gayle's version is the anti non-conformist version of a non-conformist standard. She's bracketed on either side by six of the most tight assed conformist back up singers one can imagine, dressed like they're saying '@^*! this tune!' Gayle sings heartlessly enough to suppose she too agrees with that sentiment.

"Roar" is now my favorite Katy Perry song.

The local folk music station is playing a lot of Pete Seeger today in honor of his passing at 94. I've always really liked him.

Words escape me without going spiritual. You have NOW, a "local folk music station"? Pardon me while I clean myself up.

Woody Guthrie he wasn't. He didn't need to be. He was who he was, as history will record.
