I see that as a Meghan song if she lasted....not Kris AT ALLOriginally Posted by TopCatDC;3415664;
Funny! Although I think Kris looks an awful lot like KC - except smaller. It wouldn't help him to be so similar to KC.Originally Posted by TopCatDC;3415664;
Loved his song choice this week. I don't know how he'll do next week, though. Ballads seem to be his strong suit
Praise seitan!
I think Kris should sing "Boogie Shoes." I think he could do really well with that song.
Kris gets support from the US Senate and his home state.
State senators show support for Arkansas' 'Idol' contestant
An official citation issued Friday by two Arkansas senators expresses support for Allen and states that he brings great pride to the Natural State.
Sen. Gilbert Baker, who represents Allen's hometown of Conway, and Sen. Sue Madison of Fayetteville co-authored the citation to demonstrate statewide support for the singer. Both senators are encouraging Arkansans to vote for Allen each Tuesday.
The citation notes that Allen is a lifelong Arkansan and the product of Arkansas public schools. It acknowledges Allen's work with New Life Church in Central Arkansas, Chi Alpha at the University of Central Arkansas and missionary work in Morocco, Spain, Mozambique, South Africa, Thailand and Burma.
"Kris Allen is doing a great job representing Arkansas in this intense competition. His talent and character are obvious in every performance," Baker said.
Here's a quote from producer Ken Warwick in today's USA Today about Kris:
"Kris is a really, really, nice guy - helps everybody. He's a brilliant guitarist; he's got incredible musical knowledge. Any kid who's having trouble picking a song, he's there to help. He's great."
One of the things about Kris is that as the blurb above says, he seems to really have a grasp on the music & song that is going to best help himself. I said it earlier in this thread, he seems to have a very wide & deep knowledge & appreciation of all musical genres.
Kris & Adam are & have been the only two in this competition to always come up with original arrangements & make something unique happen. I'd really like to see those two in the finals.
His song last night was definitely my favorite. Just loved the new take on it and the nuances in his vocals were superb!!!!!!!!!!Originally Posted by razorbacker;3420066;
