Country Music: Help!

My husband and I have decided to start DJing a couple of times a month to help make ends meet. We think it'll be the perfect opportunity for us because we'll be able to make money doing something that we are really passionate about, AND spend time together.

We have an incredible library of music in almost all genres. However, our country music area is lacking. I would really like to flesh it out a bit to make sure we have a comfortable selection for those who like that sort of thing. However, after listening to country music allll darn day trying to find good bar/dance type songs I still have less than a handfull to choose from.

HELP! So I don't have to listen to every country album ever made looking for the upbeat rockin choices, Mayhaps some of my Country listening FORT friends can suggest a songs that YOU think I just ought to have on hand.

What do you like to hear when you go out?

What songs do you find it impossible not to turn up loud and grab the nearest hairbrush/wooden spoon-mic.

Anything to get me started and I'm sure I can add more as time goes by and we get requests. Any choices would be ultra fantastic!

One of the top beer drinking getting rowdy songs IMO is Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks with the 3rd verse included that he does in his live shows. You also need Hank Jr with Family Tradition and of course Gretchen Wilson with Redneck Woman. Throw in Carrie Underwood with Before He Cheats and that's a good start.

Thanks Unk! I spent over 8 hours putting around 140 songs in my Rhapsody shopping cart and the site screwed up and lost them all on me.
So any shortcuts to keep me from going through that again are super helpful

If you are interested in something that is a great head bobber & booty swayer, but not necessarily a throw down gyrator, try Tequila On Ice by Daryl Worley.

Dierks Bentley’s new song Sideways should get people up.

A couple of songs that Carrie never released but I like a lot are Young & Beautiful & Flat on the Floor. These were the songs that she used to open up her concerts the past two years & they’ll definitely get the party up.
