Re: 51st Grammy Awards 2/8/09 8 p.m. on CBS
Ugh on the performers this year. Well, my older daughter likes Katy Perry, but other than that, could someone just phone me when Robert Plant & Alison Krauss are on so I can skip the rest of the broadcast? :lol Mind you I'm a big Foo Fighters fan so I wouldn't mind seeing Dave Grohl with Paul McCartney. I think Dave Grohl is hands-down the coolest guy in rock music today. I downloaded an acoustic version of "Best of You" that's so incredibly heartfelt I can't listen to it on my mp3 player at the gym because I start to tear up. :blush

I guess I must be out of touch, but there isn't that much in this line-up to make me care about tuning in.
I'll watch Carrie on that video site. Maybe McCartney and Grohl too.

Seacrest interviewed Carrie yesterday morning on his radio show & she said she would be singing Last Name. From everything I am reading it seems as though Carrie will be one of the few that is performing alone.
PS: According to the latest CBS promos Carrie will be singing in the first hour, so watch her Live & then change the channel...:laugh

Thanks for the heads up. I'll wait until it's about 1/2 hour into the show and then fast forward my TiVO until I get to her. :laugh
I guess I would enjoy U2, Coldplay and Radiohead, but if I have to wade through Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers and Taylor Swift to get to them it's not worth it.
