jamais - Vanessa-Mae (kind-of a sad song, but it makes me happy for some reason)
MULDER: It's still there, Scully. 200,000 years down in the ice.

    Leave it there.

Well, this song makes me happy in a way that I laugh..."Greatest Love of All" by Whitney Houston. I'm sorry to anyone who's a fan of that song, but I just crack up whenever I hear it for 2 reasons...

    1. Cordelia sings it horribly in an episode of Buffy. I just always think of that moment and laugh.
    2. It's just corniest song I've ever heard...even though it has a nice message, I suppose.

It didn't help that at a school talent show a 6th grade (my school goes from grades Pre-K thru 12) girl sang it. She was really good, but I just couldn't stop laughing. I did applaude loudly though.

Don't Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin

Here's a little song I wrote, you might want to sing it note for note... Don't Worry... Ha Ha Ha... Be Happy.... (the video makes me happy too)
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be a star in somebody else's eyes... but why... why... why can't it be me?

Didn't the video have Robin Williams in it? I think I saw stuff about it on that show on VH1 about the 80's.

I don't know the name of the artist, but the song "Tell Her" always makes me feel energized and happy whenever I hear it.

Wow! Great thread! So much fun! *rubs hands together* (and I agree with pretty much every song listed above me)
Here’s a “short” *cough, cough* list based on cds in one of my towers, sitting right in front of me:

    Rock or Metal or Misc.:
    the Stroke – Billy Squier
Kick Start My Heart – Motley Crue
Flavor of the Week – American Hi Fi
    Spoon Man – Soundgarden
Every little thing she does is magic – the Police
Since You’ve been Gone – Rainbow
Don’t Bring Me Down – ELO
Are You Gonna go My way – Lenny Kravitz
    Cold Blood – Kix
Locked In & Turbo Lover – Judas Priest
Walkin’ on Broken Glass – Annie Lennox
Spiderwebs & Just a Girl – No Doubt
Alone & All Over you – Live
    Supernova – Liz Phair
Don’t Fight it – Kenny Loggins
I’ll Stick Around – Foo Fighters (the fun end especially)

    Older or 80’s/early 90’s pop:
    Baby, baby – Amy Grant
Love Would Never Do – Janet Jackson
Do Me – Bel Biv Devoe
Every Little Step I Take – Bobby Brown
Overjoyed and Uptight – Stevie Wonder
    Thank You – BeBe Winan
Loverboy – Billy Ocean (many Billy Ocean songs)
Soldier of Love – Donny Osmond
    Romantic – Karyn White
Everybody Have Fun Tonight – Wang Chung
    Perfect Way – Scritti Politti
    Cecelia & Kodachrome – Simon & Garfunkel

    Somewhat newer:
Are You that Somebody – Aaliyah
Barbie Girl – Aqua (also fits into my guilty song category)
    Candy – Mandy Moore
Ooo Ahh, just a little Bit – Gina G.
I need to Know – Marc Anthony
    Start the Commotion – Wiseguys
Gettin’ Jiggy wit It – Wil Smith
One of Those Days – Whitney Houston
    Mambo #5 – Lou Bega
Rock Your Body – Justin Timberlake
    Get Busy – Sean Paul
    Crazy Love - Beyonce
    Forever - Li'l Mo
Rock wit U (awww baby) - Ashanti
    Clay Aiken songs

Then there’s all my jazz, big band, musical, waltz, classical, etc. cds…..

Way, way more than this, too. This was fun. Now I’m playing some of these…and yep…I’m cheerful.
